StevePark
you're not suprised are you Steve? Our PR is shabby and has been for years...imo Nope. Not surprised at all (Nearly 4 hours and counting.....!) Edited January 19, 2015 by Steve Park
dantodan
So to update a website there are two people involved. One to supply the info by email and the other person to update the website. Us fans expect very little but we should be kept up to date as other teams fans are

Chewbacca
Our webmaster has a fulltime job. The first meeting is the last weekend in March. What is the rush? Is there an award for 'most up to date fixture list' given out by the Speedway Star or something? "Shakes head slowly"

Is there an award for 'most up to date fixture list' given out by the Speedway Star or something? "Shakes head slowly" Yes. As a Webmaster..... As I said, 11 out of the 13 clubs have updated their sites, it always seems to be Newcastle that 'lag behind' in this sort of thing. It would be nice to able to look on our website, to sort days off and holidays as soon as we can, rather than have to trawl through the BSPA fixtures month by month and hope you don't miss a fixture in the long lists! SCB
Our webmaster has a fulltime job. Thats rubbish. The sport is meant to be professional. I doubt it was decided at 8am this morning to release the fixtures. Any decent website could have it so at 10am the fixture suddenly appear having done the work the day before. Get someone else to do it. It's a poor show really.
KEITH M
Our webmaster has a fulltime job. MrP
Unbelievable. Seems some people can't wait to have a go for any reason. Like people have suggested, maybe just maybe the PEOPLE who update the website may possibly be earning a crust.
Tsunami
NEWCASTLE SPEEDWAY SUPPORTERS CLUB Race Night and Rider announcement tonight at the Corner House pub, Coast Road, Heaton. Don't forget it's 7.30 for an 8.00 start with10 races to bet on, and the final rider announcement. FREE entry and there's a raffle, and we could be joined by one of this years team who has flown in especially to be with us. See you there Unbelievable. Seems some people can't wait to have a go for any reason. Like people have suggested, maybe just maybe the PEOPLE who update the website may possibly be earning a crust. Quite agree. If the days of meetings are so important to book hols and make arrangements, all the fixtures are on the BSPA site, so why don't people look at that till our fixtures appear on our website. Is it really that urgent to your average fan who A, doesn't go to away meetings, and B, doesn't book anyway moaning about it being a waste of time as they change so much. The webmaster has a full time job, and there usually is a period for him to get time to put items on the website. Wouldn't it be nice to be so professional to employ full-time exclusive staff. Only if you totally dismiss the current financial situation of nearly every speedway club. It's all very well SCB, Steve Park, Arson, etc, having a go most of the time. If only i was as perfect.

When was the last time I 'had a go'? I'm pretty sure all of the other 11 clubs' websites will be run by people who 'have full time jobs,' but they have managed to get their fixtures up on their websites. Yes, you can check on the BSPA website for the fixtures. But it's damn time consuming doing it that way and I only get half an hour lunchbreak and it would have been rather nice to see it on OUR website. EDIT: Nice to see they are now on the website. Or rather they appear to be being put on the website http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/fixtures.asp Edited January 19, 2015 by Steve Park

Wow how the hell can you be pretty sur they all have full time jobs? Instead of griping on here why not offer to lend a hand with updating the website then you will be one of the first to know. But as Tsunami says speedway hasn't got the money to pay for a full time executive staff. I used to help out on the website. I used to do the Previews for the matches. If you want to know why I stopped PM me and I'll tell you the reason.
MrP
To be honest with you I'm not too concerned with what you did or didn't do. I just don't think it helps any speedway club when people are always finding something to moan about. Like someone suggested earlier if you really wanted to sort holidays etc you could easily have done it via the BSPA website.

And, as I said to Tsunami (hinted at, at any rate) I don't normally have a gripe/go, whatever you want to call it, it is very rare for me to do so, but I just don't think it looks very good on the club when 11 of the 13 clubs can put the fixtures on their websites early after 10am and one of the two that didn't is ours.
