Newcastle 2015

Great to see Lewis back. Probably the rider I most wanted to see return as he has the potential to up his average again and possibly develop into a number 1.

Interesting to see where we go next. Obviously with King & Robson moving on there'll be some new faces but Rosen & Henry I would imagine would be under consideration so the side could still have a familiar look about it. Would personally have no problem in either returning although I would like a new heat leader to give us some firepower on the road rather than fill up the top 5 with Lindgren, Rosen & Henry.

I would jump at the chance of signing Lambert even on 7.5 as he has bags of potential and it would be exciting to watch such a talented young rider develop. Having "signed" him last season I would have thought it was a possibility.

Steve Worrall had a superb year but that would be a gamble given his final 7+ average included spending a big chunk of the season at reserve - hope he gets fixed up though. Would be surprised but certainly not disappointed to see Richie return.

Richie has signed for Somerset

With a change to the points scoring for home wins to 3 points for any home win I think it's better to track riders who know their way around Brough. Also 95% of fans only watch the team at home. I do however acknowledge the fact it's also vital to win away from home if we are to win silverware a suitable balance must be found. All the riders mentioned above all score well at Brough and are more than capable of chipping in with decent away scores.

One thing I will say is if we do sign Ludvig give the lad a chance by not putting him in the number five jacket and a difficult heat thirteen.

Surely the 3 points for a win, regardless if its by 2 points or 20 points plus reducing the T/R to one per team means it is less important to have a strong home team as home side will get the 3 points even if winning by just 2 points, and better to have riders who can ride the away tracks so we canpick up some away points. With the new t/r rule there will presumably be less away wins this year in the league

Due to the worsening weather forecast for tomorrow, there will be no track work at Brough on Sunday. Depending on the weather, we will restart the work after the New Year. More details to follow nearer the time.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who have given their time and efforts so far, and wish you all a very Merry Xmas and an even happier New Year.

I'd hope not... Would be a backward step imo

theo good solid rider but if we're going down that route then we need a younger rider with a 6 to 7 point av who'll put a point on this seas'n like rob lambert or steve Worrall etc as steve proved by riding good gear he's capable of beat'n the top lads in the league,, i'd welcome him back no probs

you alway's perform better when your on good gear,,,,,,, 'apparantly' :-)

yes as he showed towards the end of the 2012 seas'n and carried it on last year in all 3 leagues,, so would yi like to see him back next seas'n at brough ? I reckon who ever secures his services will be onto a winner ( injury free ) as he's now got an extra mouth to feed after the birth of his child, he's a very level headed lad and will go far in the sport the way he's going,, he had the balls to say to George in 2012 to stand down from the team which done him good even when he went to them down the A19 it never worked out for what ever reason probly ( money lack of ) he's came back a much better rider to date,,

It's nearly there.

so is xmas

Would make a good riding partner for him though or as Kerr's ala. Robbo.
