Shrewd Guest Choices Could Potentially Provide 2014 Elite League Winners !

What a final few weeks of the season it has been in terms of injuries and perhaps give us a "plastic" elite league champion.

Kings Lynn, Poole and my team Coventry have suffered mishaps and may have to rely on guests and / or RR in order for their teams to provide meaningful opposition.

Such a shame !

Perhaps the talk of late about squad systems should be given real thought and ensure that a true championship ensures.

However, Swindon could still do it on their own merits in 2014 - and if so, a fantastic achievement for Rosco - one of the best guys in the business IMO !

It's going to be a shallow victory for whoever wins as the season has been ruined by injuries, suspensions, too many guests & the fact that the top 4 teams also have the had the best of the FDR which is no co-incidence.

Everyone knew Newman, Garrity & Kerr were going to be the standout reserves & then Worrall & Blackbird have both bounced back from injuries in previous seasons.

That was the top 5.

If Poole or Kings Lynn can persuade Zagar to guest then the trophy is theirs for me.

If as presumed we also need a guest for josh grajczoneck then could do worse than p.k! Thats the wolves version.

I wouldn't begrudge Swindon winning it, they are a decent bunch with a great head man in Rosco. Them or Coventry if we can't pull off a miracle.

Anyone apart from that crook Ford.

Double uppers can only be replaced by PL guests.

Think with Poole, Kings Lynn and Coventry having so many injuries, the title will now be handed to Swindon.

Its a shame as this could have been one of the strongest play offs yet

Who will Cov have missing ?

The only injury Coventry had was to Barker who had only just come into the team anyway so hardly in the same rubbish as Kings Lynn & Poole excluding Darcy who isn't injured.

Big ask now for Coventry when missing Ben Barker who still has restricted movement so not looking like being back. Howarth will be missing due to Broken eye socket/back injury and now Garrity appears to have hurt his arm tonight in the PLRC so hopefully he will be okay.

Coventry will most likely have Barker and Howarth missing

Bees had garrity riding with injury a couple of weeks ago. Howarth has recently been out with ankle injuries and we have had to use PL riders with much lower averages than Barker as heat leaders.

Howarth has missed more than he's rode in anyway but hope he's back for the play offs

Would love Zagar to guest for Lynn, but I don't think that would make the trophy theirs.

A big blow was losing Rose just as he was starting to shine in Stars colours.

Then Bjerre was riding like a proper number 1 when he got injured,we all know he takes a while to get back up to speed when he comes back from injury.

So in having Zagar wouldn't make us favourites.

Clear favourites have to be Swindon with them still having a fit 1-7

Lets hope he carries on struggling, Newman has had a great season but worrall is better as proved by his pl average

Can't really take their PL averages into account.Didn't Worrall spend a good chunk at reserve and I don't think Newman did.

Pretty sure Newman's average in the EL is higher than Worrall's this is more comparable as they both ride at reserve.

Since i said Newman was not improving about 2 months ago he's been on a brilliant run of form and out to prove me wrong. in the last 2 months hes probably the form draft rider. Worralls PL scores have been a bit down lately which must be a bit of a worry for Swindon.

Steve Worralll is better

Steve is safe and Steady tends to beat who is suppose to beat . Newman beating members of the oppo's top five has been a become regular event of late .

If he stays fit Poole will win the play offs he's the key man
