OveFundinFan
I would bet that he wouldn't now he has a full winter to get the sponsorship needed to compete at gp level. It also seems he hasn't been using his best equipment in the gps as he used his British bikes today. The obvious question is why has he not been using good equipment in the gp's. No point going in a 12 meeting series if you not going to give it your best shot. If he can prepare a bike/s for El then he should do more then that for the gp's
g13webb
With the exception of Woffy, Bomber has been our best riders for years. Good luck to him, he deserves it. I don't knock a man for trying, and Bomber always gives 110%. Bomber is a class act, who can beat most riders, His biggest problem has always been his gating. They're not many people go by Bomber when he hits the front. If Bomber could only get his gating sorted, we wouldn't be having this discussion , he'd be in the top 8 every year............
INCOGNITO
Bomber has been very lucky to get to the GP Challenge Final but once there he grabbed his chance with both hands and hope next year of the fifteen starters he can improve on 16th place
OveFundinFan
If that bike he rode in Italy went so well then he obviously going to have it with him for the last 2 grand prixs, meaning he should be up the score chart a fair bit. If he dont want to ride his best bikes in the gp series then he should'nt be there.

jacksback
I just think he's had many chances at GP level and has been found wanting....about time to move over and allow the posiion to be available to a youngster. The old saying "nice guys come last" fits the bill here. This year in particular It has been painfull to watch his GP performances.

The saying, "You've got to be in it to win it" is also quite apt and Bomber is only of only 3 riders so far to make sure that is the case. Didnt finish last on Saturday did he? Mark
Bomber has qualified by right.. Every chance he will be down the bottom of the table and still look at his bike after each heat in which he is beaten. But he is a Brit so let us support him. A couple of final appearances quite possible if he gets his machinery right. Edited September 22, 2014 by marky

SCB
Doesn't make sense qualifying if he sees it as a lost cause! But maybe he likes the fact BSI pay for him and a few mates to travel around the World. I wish someone would pay for me to go on 11 weekend breaks and a trip to New Zealand! If this is a fact that he hasn't been using his best bikes in the GP series it just yet again shows he regularly makes the wrong decision. At this stage i doubt anything much will change in that direction, just like nothing much will change with his gating.I've long given up on hoping i will see Harris have a decent GP season.I keep my fingers crossed for the next generation though

The White Knight
If those were his League Bikes at Belle Vue last night - he needs to give the Scrap Man a call.
iris123
Ironically a Stevie Wonder song could be the theme tune not only for Bomber, but for a lot of riders Wish I could tell you, What I am feeling, But, words won't come for me to speak But I'll blame it on the sun, That didn't fill the sky, I'll blame it on the birds and the trees I'll blame it on the day that ended once too soon, I'll blame it on the nights that could not be, But, my heart blames it on me

Woz01
Doesn't make sense qualifying if he sees it as a lost cause!I was referring to the last few gps obviously not early on.If those were his League Bikes at Belle Vue last night - he needs to give the Scrap Man a call. They were the bike(s) he took to Lonigo. I read a few tweets suggesting he may have blown his engine in heat 1 last night but not getting to the track not long before the start didn't help. I know he drove back from Lonigo. Having said that his 2nd bike should really be competitive and only got it right in heat 13 when he overtook Zagar and Cook.If this is a fact that he hasn't been using his best bikes in the GP series it just yet again shows he regularly makes the wrong decision. At this stage i doubt anything much will change in that direction, just like nothing much will change with his gating.I've long given up on hoping i will see Harris have a decent GP season.I keep my fingers crossed for the next generation though I'm sure he did early on but recently I'm not so sure. Riding for Coventry on Friday night before a few gps recently which probably means he needed to send stuff abroad before he left himself. jacksback
In all honesty his league efforts the other night were an embarassment. Sorry mechanical problems aside, its time to move over Chris and let someone else have a go...Can't believe he always seems to pull off a good qualification meeting. What a wasted space! As I've said on another thread you do realise he is 4th in the EL averages (bonus points included) this year? There are other speedway meetings that are not on tv you know! It's not much of a surprise to me he qualified, his form in the EL has been excellent. Edited September 24, 2014 by woz01
OveFundinFan
but his form in the gp's has'nt. Whats his biggest score - 6 I think, not near a semi place even, not even for one gp. What "flag" a rider wears in a gp does not bother me - I much prefer to see the best riders in the world (I know it rarely happens)

He qualified, by right fair and square.
