Fromafar
I would still give allen a try even on 7 .let him find his true average then strenthen if need be. It is possible he could hold his average i for one dont know. For all we know could be better than it.I am all for signing young riders as assets,I but don't think he will be near his 7 point average in his first season, could you explain how we strengthen if he obtains a low average without dropping him.I have asked this question on this subject before but nobody wants to answer.Even if we lose all our matches the rolling averages of the other team members won't change much. Bringing a new asset to the club is an obvious attraction, and signing Allen does make sense though it would be an idea if Berwick had at least one and preferably two dominant reserve so at least if Allen struggles while getting his true average the team doesn't suffer. Talented he may be but a 7pt PL rider is asking a lot.

Or changing an under performing rider in main team.

Something in the back of my mind, about the visa stipulations. Does an assessed rider on a 7 average from without the EU, have to maintain the 7 average to be granted a visa for the following season. We might not have many points to play with if anybody in the Team improves their average (which if we have 2 strong reserves might happen.)this Promotion don't sack riders during the season if previous history is looked at.Its a gamble you just have to take regarding a 7 point assessed rider.IMO there are better assessed in Europe.Speedway in Australia is very limited. Hamster00
Meeting in January to determine whether Allen will be a 5 or a 7. By which time a lot of the riders left will be gone I look forward to battling Rye House and Scunny for the wooden spoon this year.
YAMYAMBANDIT
Meeting in January to determine whether Allen will be a 5 or a 7. Would have thought the ruling was pretty clear, anyone needing a visa comes in on an assessed average of 7. What the hell do they need a meeting for. BBSC
Bit of a problem if jake is on a 7pt average if we wanted Ben, TJ, Kev, Claus,Alex, as well as jake we would have 1.66 to play with so as will probably happen with Somerset somebody will have to be sacrificed so we can fit into 42.50 limit. screm
Meeting in January to determine whether Allen will be a 5 or a 7. Can Berwick wait till then, and can any potential signing be keen to wait till then and risk being left on the side-lines should young Allen be assessed as a 7pt rider and face not getting a club. Don't know why we have to wait, seems fairly clear to me that all new Aussie riders are an assessed 7pt average.

Mr Blobby
Allen has aleady shown he can outpace Kozza, Ryan Douglas, Nelson & co in Australia this year. Seven or five, Berwick should be ensuring he joins them, becoming an asset. Yes he did do that 11 months ago but looking at his results he has only scored well in 2 or 3 meetings that being one of them the rest have not really been that impressive like only last week in the NSW titles he scored 5 with a win in his last race against some wobblers. Take Allen on a 7 get a new asset and in 2 years hopefully as good as Fricke think he would struggle to hold a 5.00 IMO but if he does go on to be a better rider than that then i will be happy to eaat some humble pie. No, he did it four weeks ago. Check your results for the Queensland State Title meeting? An apology will do, naturally.
