Berwick 2015

Recommended Posts

No, I do't think they do want him, but are making it impossible for him to get a ride in this country, unless they can can fiddle £21k out of Berwick, which is never going to happen.

Are fees usually paid all in go ? depends on how keen they are for the cash I suppose , surely it would be spread over a period of time

He wouldn't get it and isn't worth it, Berwick could buy him with instalments. Aren't you supposed to own the contracts of a certain number of your riders anyway? Or has that gone out the door as well?

That was my point he aint worth 21K , so he should ask Redcar for a wage they cant afford . I've just asked the same question on instalments , as far as I know team where supposed to have a certain value of riders on their books , that's the case in the E/L don't know about the P/L though

Down to negotiation or by edict of the BSPA if no agreement.

Why a bell end? He has a rider who doesn't want to be there, cashing in makes sense. He is a bell end 99.9% of the time but not so much here.

Pont is he agreed a deal for a loan then changed his mind and wanted a full transfer

Yes but you're assuming Redcar want him in their team, I very much doubt that they do.

End of the day if Kus wants to ride for Berwick, he will ride for Berwick.

These days if a rider wants to ride for a club then they will, the option for Redcar is that they run the risk of having Kus sat at home in Czecho and Havvy Senior won't make any money on him.

I have no problem with the fact he wants to sell Matej but he has put both Berwick and Matej in a very difficult situation. .. 21k is a sum that Berwick clearly do not have and Matej doesn't want to be back there!

So he'll end up remaining a Redcar asset and on loan at Berwick -( if they want to fit him in when Allen is given 7 pt average) - why is everyone getting het up ??

The words in the email read "he would not sanction another loan to Berwick "... just hope this issue is sorted sooner rather than later!

Don't hold your breath waiting on the BSPA to make a decision if it goes to arbitration

My take on this is that Havvy is feeling stitched up by Workington/Lakeside last season over the Lawson asset fiasco and then now by a northern track (not Berwick) who are poaching his rider and potential riders by dangling big bucks.

This is most likely his stubborn response and a knee jerk reaction

I don't know BSPA rules on loans etc. but I can't honestly see how Redcar can cause a "restraint of trade" by refusing to sanction a loan.

I'd be willing to take a bet on Kus riding for Berwick (if they do decide to include him) next season
