Why not get riders and bikes to attend some of these. Most are on sundays so surely some riders will be available from main team. A couple of bikes . A dvd player and tv. Start up a bike on stand. Speak to people and if never been speedway before give them some incentive to go. Like a draw for something using admission ticket. Voucher for first timers to get money off. Tardis Posted June 25, 2015 Report Share Posted June 25, 2015 I see from Facebook Ben has said he is back on his feet,which is great news, but he also says he has to wear a brace for the next 12/14 weeks. That means he's out for the season I think with this news a new rider will need to be signed. Pulled out of speedway for personal reasons, his head was all over the place. I believe he has 2 bikes ready but needs carb. Not suggesting him as a replacement for Ben Barker, but he's an ex-Berwick rider and was impressive when Ipswich were up here in the Cup. Only rider that would be worth replacing due to RH's average (which if i remember correctly has dropped below 4.00 from next week) would be Edberg, so I don't think that will happen. Agree with this, though we already have a new rider in Garcia, having another one may be to much of a gamble but like you say if there`s no reliable or available riders out there maybe a gamble that pays off could fire the team into play off contention. Ben & Claus are difficult to replace anyway on their averages so making the top 6 is now harder than ever, Watching Garcia and a new 7.00 (or 2 depending how long claus is out) for the rest of the season will add much more interest than watching guests.
