topsoil
Brilliant news that the club has been chosen for Sky again. Hopefully they will continue the recent trend of clubs which have hosted meetings and try their best to get as big a crowd as possibles there. I've said before that in an ideal world I would like to see all Sky meetings heavily discounted or even free for fans to try and pack stadiums for the cameras. Obviously this represents a big financial risk, but if you can attract a meeting sponsor(s) to meet the shortfall, then give those sponsors maximum exposure in front of the TV cameras and big crowd in return, it would do wonders for the image of the sport. Great news for the club though.
crescent girl
Both previous Sky meetings at Berwick were discounted (I think a flat £10, all children free) and it would be expected this will be continued next month. Both the meetings had big attendances, although with local opposition -- Peterborough won't bring many on a Wednesday -- but a first look at Robert Lambert is an attraction all on its own. Really impressive -- three years in a row! As the big man said, we must be doing something right, after all!

Didn't think it would take somebody long to question why Sky are covering a meeting at a "processional" track. There must be something they like. bigeddiechek
Getting three Sky meetings in a row is pretty impressive. It would be folly to suggest that Sky do not have their finger on the pulse of what the public want, so this is a great endorsement for Berwick Speedway.

screm
Delighted to see Berwick getting another sky meeting, the promotion pull out all the stops for these meetings and are rewarded with good crowds, lets hope we get a few extra along and the meeting continues to show the PL in a good way. If we can get enought interest our plan is to run a bus to Ipswich and Scunthorpe in August. The price is still to be confirmed. Get your names down now. We need all names in by the 1st of July. Posted on the Supporters Club Facebook page, some have already put their names down, they need 30 people to make this a goer.
spittalbandit
Its that time of year locally where you have the local galas in berwick and border areas . Why not get riders and bikes to attend some of these. Most are on sundays so surely some riders will be available from main team. A couple of bikes . A dvd player and tv. Start up a bike on stand. Speak to people and if never been speedway before give them some incentive to go. Like a draw for something using admission ticket. Voucher for first timers to get money off. Just throwing out some ideas
