bigeddiechek
I think Barker is finding the form. He just needs to add consistency to it. There's absolutely no doubting his ability or commitment. Couldn't agree more.
crescent girl
Nothing in the latest news letter from the club about the collection, which I find amazing. Excellent effort from the Supporters Club once again. Did the Supporters Club report their success to the promotion? Maybe an e-mail to the usual address? If the club, and therefore the team responsible for creating the newsletter weren't provided with any details, how could they report it? To The Point
Did the Supporters Club report their success to the promotion? Maybe an e-mail to the usual address? If the club, and therefore the team responsible for creating the newsletter weren't provided with any details, how could they report it? Surely. the club could see they were collecting for one of their riders who had been injured in the service of their club. One would think that the club would be bending over backwards to thank them for doing so. It is probable that those collecting require no thank you, as they are doing it because it needed to be done. When something benefits your business. as this most certainly does, a good business man would be absolutely delighted, and would be openly thanking them.
Black Angus
If both parties worked together in the interests of the club, instead of their own interests.... Nothing wrong with that suggestion. Seems there might be equal entrenchment on both sides.

Normski
Was mentioned on supporters club facebook page and website that there was going to be a bucket collection in aid of hynek.

They shouldn't need to, the club should be advertising the Supporters Clubs latest events through their news letters as they did in the past, but there is nothing in news letter after news letter. What changed.

I got a face book message from them before the meeting and one after saying how much they collected, good communication in my opinion

To The Point
Given the history of the Club ,it's quite sad that this split should arise. Definately looks like a control thing on behalf of the promotion, the supporters club seem to want to hang in there and do the best they can, time to swallow the pride, and realise they are caring group of people who will do their best. screm
was well publicised This time last year any collection for an injured rider would've been advertised from the centre green, which I take it on this occasion it wasn't.

sparkafag
Nothing in the latest news letter from the club about the collection, which I find amazing. Why? Seeking praise or publicity for a charitable donation is cringing, it is Bonoish behaviour. If you want to give charity or money to someone surely you are doing it as a conscious act of kindness rather than to seek praise. I don’t have any problem with Hynek. I wish him a speedy recovery and this isn’t necessarily aimed at him, but he is already paid a wage, he will receive money (I would assume) from the Benevolent Fund, as with support for bikes engines etc it is an individual’s choice if they want to give riders money. If fans want to do that they can (and were given the chance to) and can also approach the rider in the pits if they want to. Personally, I am not that fussed for topping up a riders wage, I wish them well while they are at Berwick, but Berwick does it for me more than a rider who might not even be in the team next year. I find the continual politicking re the supporters club on here really sad, more so given it isnt coming from the supporters club. The attempt to drive a distance between the club and supporters club seems to be driven by the same posters who set out to create indifference all the time, they aren’t doing their credibility any favours, it just comes across as internet trolling. PS I am not Dick Barrie just before that typical accusation is aimed as it seems to be when anyone dare say anything that may be seen as siding with the club. Because in this instance I don’t think there is a need to side with either, fans wanted to give Hynek money, fans gave Hynek money. Sorry but I don't see giving money to an injured speedway rider as charity.
