bigeddiechek
Luke Ruddick isn't a Berwick asset, he never signed for Berwick. Major oversight by the promotion IMO and makes a bit of a mockery of running a junior team if you are not going to sign up your riders. I think it's a great idea that Berwick are running a junior team, but to then let riders slip away can make you look a bit silly. Well done, you gave Screm his aim of having a pop! He had to wait a long time though!
Heedthebaw
For a rider with limited experience it encouraging to see Luke Ruddick putting in some very decent scores for Mildenhall in the NL. It must be a good thing for Berwick`s long term future that they now have three young assets racing in the NL. Luke Ruddick is a Mildenhall assett, serious blunder by our club who apparently never even spoke to him about signing fo Berwick
topsoil
Hopefully they will learn from this, maybe even try and sign Luke back and ensure that any future young riders coming through are signed before anybody else gets the chance. Running a junior team is a great idea IMO and hopefully this will bear fruit in the future by producing local riders for the team.
YAMYAMBANDIT
Coming from the man who slated George English during Pepe's first season with Newcastle. How you've changed your tune! Again Scott your selective memory kicks in, never had a go at George for his management skills, the complaint was that Pepe was not paid on time and was owed a lot of money at the time, which had more to do with Newcastles financial situation at the time.. Fromafar
Poor tracks, weather ,early calls offs, late call offs abandoned meetings, long drawn out stoppages, guests or R/r every week it seems.missing riders riding for another team in Britian the same night.Just some of the things a lot of fans have had enough of regarding our sport.Winter Conferences which seem to very little to improve things to the average fan.Nothing to to do with any single club IMO just a fact the people can do better things with their time.Berwick Promotion are in the same boat as many other clubs. Its not moaning from fans it facts that the sport has to address if they want fans to return. As Taffy points out it World. Speedway is in decline and watching the last 2 GP 's isn't going to have we fans flocking through the turnstiles I'm afraid From a Berwick point of view don't think results matter that much.
topsoil
Agree with all of the above, added to the fact that in general terms of entertainment, the sport has failed to move on in the past umpteen years (how many track presenters still playing music from the 70s and 80s for a start) doesn't help. Okay for the older generation, but it won't help attract any youngsters.

Didn't know that, just took it for granted that Berwick would've had Luke signed up, as you say that could prove to be a major over sight. I also was unaware that he was not an asset .He seems to be making progress though good luck to him.Ambition is half the battle for young riders and he seems to have some.Where does he live? abyassinian bandit
There's been a lot of comment on what would be the best parade at Berwick let's sort this out once and for all bikes on parade or stick with what we already have Vote at this link let's see what the public want Feel free to share this poll on other speedway internet outlets too http://vote.pollcode.com/24434716
clambo71
whith that heavy defeat last night it time for the manager who is not sure to get riders keyed upto beat Newcastle before its to late Don't worry to much about the somerset result. Everything was going allright until they. sent out there famous track staff to change the track surface and their riders just seem to flick a switch and visiting heat leaders have their reserves climbing all over them not the first time. bigeddiechek
So, we have had a return to winning ways (convincingly) at home, also two entertaining home meetings in a row.Now a strong away showing to progress to the next round of the KOC.Aside from a bit of bud luck at the start of the season, things are standing at a pretty decent point. Let's hope that the fans can get behind the team and club and push forward. We should never forget how good speedway is when it is at its best!
