Sings4Speedway
Hope Ben isn't to tired having a 5550 mile trip 1 way. Berwick’s new number one, Ben Barker is looking forward to the challenge of riding with the Bandits after making the switch to Shielfielod during the winter. Sounds Nordic to me.....no wonder is 5550 miles

bigeddiechek
It's quite interesting how the required immediacy of the Internet has pushed aside proof reading. Even the BBC website has typos. This phenomenon often provides a source of great entertainment, as we all no!

screm
While I agree the Berwick reports that appear in the Speedway star, or the local paper aren't exactly the work of Shakespeare, they do reflect the meetings reasonably well. Though as has been pointed out maybe a quick read through from time to time would be a bad idea, just as the club do before they release one of their news letters. screm
...or not... I`d love to give you a whoosh for that, but it was a genuine typo, I will leave it as un-edited as I`m sure others will want to enjoy it.
bigeddiechek
What a haver! Or is it hayver? Jim, well spotted, how did I no you would get it? I think the best one from the Bandits' newsletter has to be the appearance of Jorgenson's twin brother.
DSC67
The fact the "Scoop" Hamblin is still at the Advertiser after 30 odd years says one thing , he's not very ambitious and is quite happy to report on The Bandits & Berwick Rangers and not a lot else it's never going to be Pulitzer pPrize winning stuff is it ? Surely the length or reasons behind Keith`s period of employment at The Advertiser is his business, bit of a cheap there I`m afraid. To have a full time job of that length of time, in this particular field in this day and age is a bit of an achievement, all credit to him for that. Same could apply to a few Berwick Speedway folk, except add a decade or so on to that, plus unpaid. Your point about cheap shots is spot on: but, this is the home of the cheap shot.
