tyretrax
If you're going to have a go then at least read the replies: Did you not read #606 or #639 "Just to clarify my position on this. I support what's going on because it keeps the club going and that's the only way that we can get back into the EL. I do not support the direction that we've been going in during 2014 & now 2015." It is the best track in the country with some of the best facilities which is why it should be at the top level of British Speedway. Not being keen about being in the PL again (although to be fair, Lakeside and Belle Vue turning up twice isn't appealing either) is nothing like wanting the club to close. Don't let him worry you. He's just a red herring looking for comments.
PE7Panther
I just get the feeling that they have enough money already with readypower backing but they are just trying to get as much money together as possible. always good to try get a little extranail on head! 150 season tickets at an average of £250 each is £37.5k, plus another 500 fan's paying through the gate at an average of £12 is £6k a week. Added to the other money, surely that is enough to cover the wages ? that's what I've been thinking ever since the fans meeting. I can well imagine TS pulling a face when he reads comments like these - but what does he expect when nothing is made properly clear? If you leave things as clear as mud people will always ask questions. And they're perfectly entitled to when they're being asked to contribute financially. 1 promoter gave me some sound advice regarding speedway and the guff that's spouted , don't believe what you read , don't believe what you hear. the best post so far! peterborough daz
So then how much more do we need to raise?
proud panther
Ostergaard, Greenwood, Blackbird & Roynan look most likely to start team building in my opinion.
Panthers89
Gutted Ellis has signed for Lakeside. Agreed with PP above, its a good start to team building IF happened, but need some decent back up for Ostergaard.
peterborough daz
Ostergaard, Greenwood, Blackbird & Roynan look most likely to start team building in my opinion. What would that leave average wise? BTW still £5k short of the £40k
Panthers89
What would that leave average wise? BTW still £5k short of the £40k Leaves 20.31 for the final 3. Stead hasn't been announced yet at Sheffield, maybe troubles there.... so what about: 1. Stead 9.96 2. Holder 5.00 3. Proctor 6.26 4. Blackbird 6.30 5. Ostergaard 8.00 6. Greenwood 3.10 7. Roynon 4.79 Could of got a sneaky loan on Holder if we sold them Dakota, and also Wolves will owe us if use Lasse Bjerre, so could get Ty. Be well happy watching that home and away! mc1874
I think Lewis Blackbird will be on a lot of teams shopping lists. Enjoyed watching him at Edinburgh last year. The boy has real racing steel and I think he could hit a nine point average if he stays injury free. I think he is total class. Just saying....
semion
£5k short ? How much is that per supporter each week ? Lump it on the admission then the people who want Speedway to continue in P'Boro should be prepared to pay for it. cant amount to a whole heap of beans per fan, per week. Panthers89
There you go then, problem solved. No one would moan about a quid, would they ??? You'd be surprised. I'd even be happy to pay an extra 10 quid on a season ticket x that by how many would be sold, would also get a decent chunk sorted.
