Crump99
I would guess that the money would go to Rick and Julie and trev and Ged wont get any of it Much like last year's loan fees and the supremo I'd imagine?

Lukas
So when will we find out if we are still running then?..surely they must know by now with 3days until the AGM.
wealdstone
If Dakota North has been sold to Poole and the fee whatever it may be, does not find itself into the coffers of "save the Panthers" Then the integrity of the Frosts must be seriously put under the spotlight. If this is the case then the last bastions of decency and fair play in the sport have been destroyed. Noodles
PANTHERS NEED 'ONE LAST PUSH' Wednesday November 12, 2014 GED Rathbone has called for one last push as Peterborough bid to hit their survival target. Rathbone has teamed up with long-serving club official Trevor Swales in an attempt to keep Panthers alive in 2015 and beyond. He reports they have now raised around three-quarters of the £40,000 required to bring the club to the tapes next season. And, with the British Speedway Promoters Association (BSPA) annual meeting taking place between Friday and Sunday, Rathbone hopes there is still time to hit the all-important figure. The club will be represented at the AGM in Kenilworth. They want to either be in a position to declare they can race on or seek an extended period of time in which to do so. Rathbone said: The response so far has been terrific. It has told myself and Trevor that speedway is definitely still wanted in Peterborough. But we are not there yet and one last push ahead of the AGM could make all the difference. We have to stress that we cannot consider racing on in 2015 unless we have the right amount of money in place. We will not fall into the trap of letting our hearts rule our heads because we have to make sure it can work both next year and beyond. Rathbone reports excellent take-up of sponsorship deals which were announced last week. He also revealed there is plenty of interest in season tickets. Prices will be announced if the club is in a position to continue racing. Rathbone says a number of riders have made contact to ask to be considered for a team berth if Panthers come to the tapes next year. Anyone keen to donate to the Panthers survival fund or take up sponsorship opportunities should email pantherspledge2015@gmail.com
wealdstone
Can we have some information as to how much Messrs Rathbone and Swales have contributed to the amount raised so far.

Crump99
Is that before or after Crump99 puts his bit in. As someone who's turned up and paid at Peterborough for more seasons than I care to remember, I've contributed plenty and am not the reason Peterborough Speedway is in the mess it's in. I even had a season ticket in 2014; what a mistake that was. I don't particularly enjoy PL so why would I want to contribute more without a forward plan, rather than just "beyond"? Noodles
Can we have some information as to how much Messrs Rathbone and Swales have contributed to the amount raised so far.At the same time maybe we can ask them how much of their free time they have given up so far for nothing, and how much they will be giving up next year for nothing. Can I ask how much free time Messrs wealdstone has given to the cause so far? Seriously what is your problem - do you want them to fail? Tsunami
Yeah... and maybe we can ask them how much of their free time they have given up so far for nothing, and how much they will be giving up next year for nothing. Can I ask how much free time Messrs wealdstone has given so far? In addition, if the 2015 season does not make break-even, and makes losses, who will own those losses. Suspicious lot speedway fans. They hope someone will try and keep their club running, and do nowt else but interrogate and knock others efforts to do so, forgetting the responsibility they are taking on with considerable time and financial implications. Then some wonder why promoters walk away from the sport, and enjoy a stress free life with their families. Would the knockers do it, or are they only there to act as critics. Remember anybody can criticise, not everyone can or will "do" things.

Pinny
I think peterborough fans have a very good right to know how much the potential promoters have put in as if it all goes ** up mid season then assuming swales and the other guy havent put any money in, theyve lost nothing!!! They should of put up half of the required money at least - whats the difference between them running it and your average joe? Anyone could come on here demanding 40k to keep the club alive for a season!!! Cant see any positives out of this tbh - whats going to happen when the crowds are rock bottom as is the team, which is probable after reading potential teams being assembled on here!! This stinks of another club closing mid season IMO.

A Good point. I asked a question with no hint of criticism whatsoever, yet just the fact that I have the temerity to ask seems to get some hackles rising. No one doubts the time and effort put in by Trevor or Ged but that is not the question I asked.
