em1500uk
And now Tungate guests in place of Ostergaard against Scunny - because he asked to!! Just rubbing Scunny's noses in it. Oh dear lord Handbags quite possibly on Sunday then?! on a serious note - my man of the season has to be Simon Lambert..... a great season! Cant argue there. I said that before he got injured Don't forget...he's a Lynn asset

Lukas
I wonder if R.Lambert could come in and right all of his wrongs..as he's spent half a season riding for us..would feel more right than any other guest in the play offs..though I fear them bridges have been burnt. Lukas
If not I'd be happy with a rider who we may be looking at for next season.

Crump99
You sacked him!! Id expect him to give a 2 word reply if asked. The first sounds like duck and the second is off! Was probably by mutual consent and suited all. I wouldn't take too much notice of what was put in the public domain. If not I'd be happy with a rider who we may be looking at for next season. Is next season confirmed then?

peterborough daz
Have you been in a cave for the last 5 years? No but last season everyone knew Horton was going at the end of the season. Ged is purchasing assets etc. Building long term.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Could use an Ipswich rider as there seasons over nowindeed and with no one to blame other than ourselves. But at least any credit or blame is due to our own 7 riders and and not a hotchpotch collective of who might be free on any given day. wink

But at least any credit or blame is due to our own 7 riders and and not a hotchpotch collective of who might be free on any given day. wink Some might say that it was good management on the part of Peterborough Speedway, given injuries and the continuing events thrown at them. Therefore, you may wish to add management to your credit/blame list. If that was local it'd be reported as supremo Louis No but last season everyone knew Horton was going at the end of the season. Ged is purchasing assets etc. Building long term. Fair point but it's still Readypower Panthers with the club still owned, as far as we know, by Frost & Mahoney. If they are happy with the present arrangements and Rathbone/Swales have assurances that we are not privy to then you're probably right. If not then we're back to the first point and where that goes? dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Agree with the management point. One critism from some quarters has been that Chris has stuck by riders for too long. But give me a trait of loyalty respect and nuture over ruthless manipulation anyday. Perhaps that where im different as a person to some others....

Picking the right guests is a very important part of management as is paying them all on time, Peterborough don't have a problem on either score. Swales was a regular at the waiting game which is why we've won bugger all since 2006. How many times did we wait for riders to return to form, whether due to injury or just because they'd lost it for good, if they ever had it. 2013 being a prime example, and that's partly the reason we are here. Rathbone seems to have a clue, it's a shame that he didn't surface a few years ago when we were in the big league with the clout. Loyalty & respect are nice but you can't retire on them Edited September 13, 2015 by Crump99
