Peterborough Panthers 2015

Recommended Posts

Good knows what the team will look like for Edinburgh next weekend with lots of meetings going on.

1- Robert 'Mr Invisible' Lambert

2- Emil Grondal

3- MPT

4- Lewis Blackbird

5- R/R for Ostergaard

6- Rafal Konopka

7- Guest for Lambert

What a poor looking team that now becomes!

Joking apart speedway must be one of the hardest sports to follow with injuries, doubling up and international commitment etc. I've gone off over hyped football a lot but at least teams have squad players to come in and fans don't have to be wondering if they'll have a team all week. I know squads & 6 man teams have been mentioned for speedway, squads especially seem unworkable with full time riders. The sport needs a good shake up.

The engines need pegging back imo, all these injuries are leaving a real nasty taste in the mouth...

Are they really going any faster? Race times say they are not

the track record at DP is 62.7, in the 70s it was well over 70 secs. The track hasn't changed that much..I think the skill of the riders is a factor. That's a generalisation, not about any one incident.

They have got faster, track records are still being broken. The main problem is the way they pick up drive and lift, although this could possibly be a combination of engine and the new silencers...

I agree, and if the track is not consistent it gives the riders a lot of problems.Track prep is very important these days and sometimes it's not up to scratch IMO

The bikes do seem to have become more volatile since the new silencers were introduced. They may kill the noise but they also seem to kill the engine before it suddenly springs into life? When it's consistent power that's actually wanted.

Robert Lambert was there yesterday, he was still suffering from his shoulder injury, but didn't want to let his team down, watched them unload the van which was witnessed by several people, walked in to the pits, to be ushered out saying they had got the reserve in an he was not riding. BIG LACK OF COMMUNICATION ON GEDS DALE CARL PART

Peterborough Promotion Ged have got to come clean about all the mess ups he has caused with regards to Robert

Sadly they will never own up to the truth, They are the ones that have messed up but young Robert gets the fingers pointed at him.

Seems to me they make themselves look good......sod the rider they can take all the flak, think they can get away with it just cos hes 17 years old

Sadly Young Robert get pulled over the coils for not saying anything, but when he does say something he is being slated again saying that he shouldn't of put a statement out,

screwed what ever way he goes all his family are being treated unfairly by Peterborough Supporters

But it was good to see him walking around mixing with the crowd, chatting to people, signing autographs, and having his picture taken with fans

COME ON PETERBOROUGH PROMOTION TELL THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a back bone Ged and tell the truth

Isn't it to do with the higher revs the lay downs pull. So when they do hit a rut or patch of grip the front wheel goes skywards? Yes they may be going faster but surely it's not massive amounts. Maybe and extra 5 mph?

It's not so much the speed, it's the bucking bronco's they have become. A motorcycle has to be predictable to be safe, but that's not the case with speedway bikes in the last few years. Certainly never happened when i was riding at Mildenhall on a two valve Jawa in the last century..

That's the thing with lay downs. All the power is at the top end. The uprights had lower revs and a better spread of torque so they wouldn't buck as much. Also most riders now use a short stroke instead of long stroke. Plus the riders are getting their butts back so early now to drive forward, again you didn't have to do it so much and so early.

He needs to be careful unloading vans, it's dangerous and someone could get hurt.

How come he isn't riding for Kings Lynn tonight then?

So that's Peterborough, Kings Lynn and Robert himself say the same thing and we are to believe your story?
