PE7Panther
no more outside posts from anyone, other than genuine panthers fans. lets see how long it last without the input of outside posters.. its like saying away fans cant come to the eoes because they don't support peter borough. next thing is you will be only wanting blonde, blue eyes children in your ranks.. now where have i heard that before ? Oh ffs! Nobody said anything about not wanting "outside posts" We're all speedway fans and yes, of course, it makes threads all the more interesting when comments are made by all and sundry. It is, after all, an open forum. It's not WHO is making the post; it's WHAT they post. You need to take a step back and have a little think about what you've actually been contributing to this thread. You clearly think you're being very smart and witty, and no doubt you're convinced yourself that you're Mr Innocent. But many (most?) think you're just being a smartarse clever-dick who takes great delight in winding people up just for the sake of it. And now you're trying to make a clumsy link with racist white supremacy/Nazism; do you not realise how offensive that is and how utterly stupid it makes you look?

Well, Crumpy thinks it works for him. Very disappointed that Crumpy is not gracing us with his presence on Sunday at the PL 4's. Was interested to see what an EL snob looked like, but I suppose the quality of the PL racing on such an outstanding track will make up for it. As to my 'self proclaimed success story', well you have to have before you can do it. Pity about Sunday though.

mudflaps
Panthers: Injured Simon is simply frustrated by his lay-off Simon Lambert has been missed by the Peterborough Panthers. Mark Plummer 12:19Thursday 30 July 2015 Stricken Peterborough Panthers star Simon Lambert has spoken of his frustration at seeing his best-ever season interrupted by injury. The high-scoring reserve match-winner is out with a broken shoulder blade sustained in a smash in an individual meeting 10 days ago. ADVERTISING It was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time as he was dumped on the deck by a rival rider – and that’s been a familiar story during the 26 year-old’s career. Lambert admitted: “No speedway rider wants to be sat at home injured. The fact it happened in an individual meeting and wasn’t my fault just makes it more frustrating. “It is the second time this year I’ve had a big bang that hasn’t been down to me. The same thing happened in our win at Newcastle when I got taken out. “That’s been the story of my career unfortunately. I’m not the sort of rider who leaves his brain in the toolbox when he goes out onto the track, but I still seem to get caught up in crashes. “This has been my best season in the Premier League by some distance and the last thing I want is to have to sit out meetings. “I’ve only had two bad meetings all year and hopefully I can pick my form back up when I’m fit again.” An initial comeback date of August 9 has already proved to be too ambitious for Lambert, but a home Premier League clash against Newcastle on August 21 has now been pencilled in for a possible return. But he has revealed the situation could have been a lot worse. His broken shoulder blade was millimetres away from causing season-ending damage. Lambert added: “I went to Peterborough City Hospital after the crash and they gave me an appointment to go back on August 10 which was not a lot of use. “I decided to go private and it soon became clear I’ve been lucky not to have done a lot more damage. “If the fracture had gone two or three millimetres to the left my entire shoulder socket would have been smashed to bits and that would have been my season over. “Thankfully that’s not the case and I’m giving the shoulder two weeks of complete rest before taking things from there. The doctors said to expect to be out for between six and eight weeks, but I’m hoping it will be a lot closer to four-to-six weeks. “I might be able to have some laser treatment to speed up the final part of the recovery and get me back a bit quicker. “I’m hoping to be okay for the Newcastle meeting, but this is not a time to be taking any chances with the play-offs just around the corner. “The club management have told me not to rush back.”

Tsunami
erm... maybe I'm being a bit dense, but why is your post linked to mine above (qv)? What's it got to do with my post, which was purely response to, and about, stuff, Jenga had been posting on this 'Pboro Panthers 2015' thread? Because you advised jenga "you think you are being very smart and witty",(the clue being bolded to bring it to attention), and I then I compared your quote with your 'top' poster on here, who had previously tried to be just that. Why is jenga wrong, but Crumpy acceptable.
PE7Panther
Because you advised jenga "you think you are being very smart and witty",(the clue being bolded to bring it to attention), and I then I compared your quote with your 'top' poster on here, who had previously tried to be just that. Why is jenga wrong, but Crumpy acceptable. I smell bull5h!t...... Look at my post again. I was taking Jenga to task about two things: 1. in response to his silly accusation that Panthers fans don't want "outside comments" in this thread, I said of course we do and It's not WHO is making the post; it's WHAT they post. That needs no explanation, surely. 2. About the off-topic bollox he keeps posting in this thread. Your post is of no interest to me whatsoever, but you were perfectly entitled to make it - even though it added to the off-topic cr4p that has been polluting this Panthers 2015 thread, and it would have been better posted elsewhere. But it has nothing to do with what I'd been saying. And that's why I object to you linking it with me via the 'quote' button. I suspect what happened is that you spotted a handy phrase I'd used and then you hijacked my post to continue the little spat you'd been having with another forumite. Referring to "your top poster on here" was a clumsy attempt to make some sort of link with what I'd been posting in response to Jenga - but it just doesn't stand up. I don't even know what you mean by "your top poster" anyway. Edited July 31, 2015 by PE7Panther

scoobydoo
Seems a strange decision to take a guest booking when your struggling for fitness.
Crump99
Seems a strange decision to take a guest booking when your struggling for fitness. We're told that he's struggling for fitness, which may be different from actually struggling for fitness which stops you riding. And before the Lambert posse get excited, that's not a go at him, just years of previous experience (with much bigger fish the Lambert) which tells us that the public communication can sometimes be a lot different from the reality of the situation. Riders often ride with injury throughout the season which means that they are not 100% fit and struggling for fitness, it comes with the job unfortunately. scoobydoo
Whatever hes done to his hip must be causing him severe pain and discomfort as hes withdrawn from every meeting hes ridden in since the crash at Berwick, we all work through discomfort at sometime but if it gets to the stage were its not holding up or the pains not going away we all rest the injury or risk making it worse

Taking an unnecessary guest booking when he's already programmed in for Fri, Sun & Mon would suggest that he thinks that he can?
scoobydoo
Very true he must think he can but he should be thinking of his contracted teams in this case first , he doesn't need the money apparently but his enthusiasm for riding may of got the better of him
bdjfan
Everything has gone out of the window now seeing as he has won all his heats and beat the track record at Rye House!! Edited August 1, 2015 by bdjfan
Noodles
Everything has gone out of the window now seeing as he has won all his heats and beat the track record at Rye House!! when you have Lambert in the team its best to wait until you actually see him on track. Seems he broke a nail pushing his bike back to the van after the meeting. Edited August 1, 2015 by Noodles

As long as he is wanted, he should learn as many tracks as possible. And this comes from a Diamonds supporter who 1 hope he aint red hot in the fours and 2 can only see good things for a young lad with his attitude, with a view to the international circuit. Lukas
That is a good point as the lad has to think about his career aswell as trying to keep all his clubs happy. Its only because he is that good.Fans are speaking from a purely selfish point of view because he is a match winner but i guess there is a bigger picture for himself. Panthers management knew that when they signed him so maybe he gets more stick than he deserves. Edited August 2, 2015 by Lukas
