Peterborough Panthers 2015

Recommended Posts

Well sod me!! I asked ages ago if this meeting would go ahead because 'Just Dogs Live' was on that weekend and was told yes it would so we decided to kill two birds with one stone and go to both on the Sunday rather than making 2 trips to Peterborough. Bah!!

Our fixture list has been our fixture aspirations for years. Due to the joys of Sunday speedway you now get the full Peterborough speedway experience. Allegedly the landlords will not let us have the date which they must have previously offered in full knowledge of the dog event? Rumour is that the Panthers mascot is in the doggy high jump competition to confirm that nobody jumps higher at the EoES than we do.

The club have confirmed that a signing is imminent and hope to announce within 24 hours

Have they? There's jack on the website.

Lukas, feel that it would be wrong to say who it is, perhaps should have said nothing.

True.

Yes July 12th was one of the dates the Panthers were given and the landlords must have known 'Just Dogs Live' was on the same date as long as I have, which is almost 12 months. Can't see what the problem is with a 5pm start time for the speedway as I should think the dog show would be over by then and I can't remember them using any area near the track before anyway.

he will get swallowed up by the pl guys. as we all know, the pl is stronger than the lite league. cats just got weaker. :o

Kenneth Hanson came into the pl on a converted el average of 7.70 and found it a bit tougher than he thought. now averaging around 5.00.

still when tortoise shell gets his proper average, maybe 4.50. Peterborough can get rid of the B.S.A. boy and replace him with a.n. other. by that time the league will be lost.

Jacob Thorssell is Peterborough's new signing.

I didn't see that one coming

If this is true, then it appears rules have been ignored again

When looking to convert an EL riders average to PL rules state

18.6.4 If a Rider has only an EL Established MA from the previous season, which must not

exceed 6.00, then a conversion is necessary; the EL MA is multiplied by 1.4.

Thorsell's end of season average was 6.25 - which by my reading of this rule means he is ineligible to double down, regardless of his current average, which has now dropped below 6.

That rule is written terribly. As it suggests that riders don't drop down on their current EL average converted but there start of the season (or end of last season) average.

You would have thought the Peterborough Promotion would know that he can't double down as his starting average was 6.25 in the EL . Is this a rookie mistake or is it the fact that he is a Wolves Rider and the vice chairman owns Wolves makes you wonder
