It appears they don't know what caused the accident...well I'm pretty sure it was his side panel/cover that was unsecure and flapping around and I think it jammed in his wheel..he done well to only come away with broken fingers.

Question- As Peterborough have Blackbird and Allen out, do you use a guest for the higher or lower average?

Get a choice I believe.

Should do R/R for LEWIS, meaning Lambert, MPT and reserves, especially at home, away from home, bit more difficult.

Today's meeting has shown that Panthers do need an out and out number 1 Ulrich isn't up to it and Robert Lambert isn't there yet so signing another 7pointer won't work but finding a number 1 is near on impossible , the next few weeks will define if Panthers stay in the hunt for the league playoffs or they fall away, big big decisions need to be made that could affect the desire of we're they want to be this season

Speedway - Blackbird injuries not as bad as first feared

Panthers star Lewis Blackbird was released from hosital last night (May 25) following his crash in the afternoon meeting against Plymouth.

Initial fears of a broken jaw in the wake of his heat nine smash during a 46-44 KO Cup first round, first leg victory at the East of England Showground proved to be unfounded.

But Blackbird did break two fingers in the fourth-bend spill and also suffered concussion.

He is also experiencing back, rib and groin pain, but none of those problems are thought to be serious.

Team boss Carl Johnson said: “I’ve been to visit Lewis and the outlook is a lot brighter than we all feared a few hours earlier.

“He has broken the ring finger and little finger on his right hand, and the doctors are suggesting he will probably be out for between four-to-six weeks.

“But knowing Lewis, and knowing the fact the British Final is three weeks today, I’m sure he will be desperate to return sooner.”

Panthers are back in action on Friday when they host Berwick in the Premier League, but they don’t then race again for another fortnight.

Personally I think Ulrich is a number 1. Looking at the latest green sheet averages he is 10th highest in average and in five of the premier league teams he would already be the number one.

Thinking about team changes am I right in thinking that if you change more than one rider at a time you have to get back to the overall team limit of 42.50? If so changing Olly Allen and AN Other would be a poor decision in my opinion. Better to rely on guests and RR (only of no appropriate guest can be obtained) unless a new number 1 of an average up to 8.51 can be found of course.

Not many Sunday meetings left tbh

how do you work that out? 5 Sunday home meetings left and 5 home meeting on other race nights. plus couple of cancelled meetings to add

Also two away on Sundays
