Crump99
So an untried National League youngster is considered better than MPT - interesting! Is it?
shazza
"We work to a strict budget and buying Ulrich is considerably more viable financially than having to pay a loan fee annually to use him". With all due respect to Ostergaard, he's not an EL rider so I guess the Panthers have no intention of returning to the top flight anytime soon.. I for one hope they dont.I much prefer the Premier league now.
TheCookster
I for one hope they dont.I much prefer the Premier league now. I certainly find the PL to be easily the most entertaining of the three British speedway leagues.
Shadders
For variety of opponents it beats the EL hands down. I'm sure a few will miss the GP stars such as Holder, Harris etc, but the EL format with some of the reserves half a lap behind the front two can be tiresome to watch.

I don't prefer the PL. It isn't better. It's better organised. The EL is a mess. If it ever gets back to better quality throughout the league with increased teams then it's the place to be IMO. Problems is that the EL's decline will continue as Pearson & Tatum do their best to make it seem exciting. Never thought I'd say that Swales & Rathbone are doing ok, but they are in many aspects.
bruno
think most agree the draft system is a good idea but the youngsters should be guaranteed places in the pl not the el
northyorksbear
There was a lot of publicity last week about Adam Roynon starting his comeback with various practice sessions, but I've not heard anything since, anyone know how he got on? Willowman
There was a lot of publicity last week about Adam Roynon starting his comeback with various practice sessions, but I've not heard anything since, anyone know how he got on? Looked comfortable at Somerset. Seem to remember someone saying not so good elsewhere (Peterborough?).
Crump99
think most agree the draft system is a good idea but the youngsters should be guaranteed places in the pl not the el I prefer natural progression. That should happen anyway with 3 leagues.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I prefer natural progression. That should happen anyway with 3 leagues. perfectly illustrated by a rider 'progressing' from the EL with an average of 5.2 to the PL on an average if 4.92. wink/woof!! ch958
I prefer natural progression. That should happen anyway with 3 leagues. it should happen this way but EL and PL too close in strength compared with PL to NL in other words its a bigger jump from NL to PL than from PL to EL

scoobydoo
If this is correct then Panthers may be going down the route of replacing Allen with a like for like average rider, or are they looking at bringing in Todd Kurtz and a seven pointer which could leave MPT as reserve. Still think that Peterborough should be an EL club with the track and facilities they have , but looking at the EL these days its 75-80% full of PL riders anyway Edited April 30, 2015 by scoobydoo
