scaramanga
From an outside observer's point of view, speedway's 'senior' league sides should always take precedence when there is a clash. It would make it appear less 'mickey mouse'!! sorry but i disagree they allready stick 2 fingers up to the prem league when signing riders they can sign them and never use them the prem league clubs can only sign a assett if they use them for set number of meetings
proud panther
Catch 22, would you like a £20 bet on who Lewis is an asset of ? Loser to put the money into Ricky Ashworth's fund.
Lukas
I would hardly call the elite league "senior"these days.. Think that was proved last year when look at the likes of blackbirds average in both..does anyone know how many fixture clashes there will be where we are missing riders or are they not out yet? Aries
Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Catch22 was a sponsor of Oliver Rayson? If my memory serves me right I'm pretty sure he knew the ins and outs of the swap "deal" at the time. Doesn't really matter anyway as Blackbird won't be missing meetings for Peterborough through fixture clashes. I'm interested to see how Blackbird does next season and if he continues improvement, or whether last season was a one off. Jury still out for me. Panthers89
The way he was riding, that was no way a fluke last season, I think this season if he can hit a 7.00+ average, which I think is possible, then that's a successful season.

bigcatdiary
Catch 22, now one of us has got to prove it. I was told Blackbird is an asset of Mildenhall. Blackbird and Lambert,s priority is to Peterborough in the event of fixture clashes with Wolves and Leicester respectively. Mildenhall didn't recieve a single penny "loan" fee..
CardinalSin
Hes a Chris Louis asset. Mildenhall didn't recieve a single penny "loan" fee..Thats my understanding too. Who cares really none of us are getting the loan fee. The only thing Peterbrough are concerned with is Blackbird missing meetings so it doesn't affect them in that way either. proud panther
Cardinal Sin, if a team decided to buy Lewis, i'm sure the person/team would be interested. Surely somebody from Ipswich or Mildenhall can assist me in getting £20 out of Catch 22 for the Ricky fund. Maybe a few more people could have bets on riders averages etc with the loser putting it in the Ricky fund.
Steve Irving
Lewis Blackbird and Oliver Rayson swapped clubs. Lewis was on the books of Kings Lynn, Oliver was on the books of Ipswich. I'm sure Chris Louis had every intention of building up Mildenhall whilst he was there, but he's since severed ties with them.

OK - a fiver says Lewis ends up on a better average for this season's PL league and cup events than young Lambert!! (Assuming both manage a minimum of say a dozen matches.) proud panther
That was my next bet Scotsman lol. I'm sure a Lynn fan will take you up on it. Perhaps somebody who knows how to start a new thread will set one up for us to have a bit of fun . I'm aware that Rayson & Lewis swapped clubs, but was told by Lewis that he was an asset of Mildenhall last friday. At least it is giving us something to debate through the winter month's while we await our Speedway fix next March.

Bagpuss
Funnily enough I'm not brave enough to bet either way on that one, could be a fag paper between the two of them by October. I like Blackbird, he has something about him and has been to most if not all of the tracks. Assuming they ride at three and four they will make a very exciting engine room. Blackbird and Lambert,s priority is to Peterborough in the event of fixture clashes with Wolves and Leicester respectively. If Lambert is a Lynn asset then Leicester have priority thanks to a change in the rules. The question is whether Blackbird is an Ipswich or Mildenhall. If it's Ipswich then Panthers get priority but if it's Mildenhall know one knows who gets priority!

Come on GB - that's what makes it a good wager, the fact that it could go either way. Yes Lewis has been to most PL tracks but he is coming back from a really bad injury. It's only a fiver and it's for a good cause!!
Bagpuss
Ah, wasn't really paying attention to the good cause bit. Of course I'll accept the bet
