hans fan
Yes, it's so tight, yet some on here only want to belittle the efforts of Ged and Trevor. Freeloaders.why are they belittling , because they ask questions ??? just because people aren't stuck up tetleys and geds arse doesn't mean people are against them Grossly insulting to refer to Ged and Trevor as Freeloaders. You imply they have put nothing in themselves which could not be further from the facts.I think he's getting at the people who don't pay not ged and trevor

Haza
Do you, sounds like you are. The begging bowl is out because they need extra capital to run. Don't get it , no Speedway at Peterborough. Then of course it will be all Ged and Trevor's fault. FFS I,m not having a go at Swales or Rathbone i can't fault them trying to keep the club alive but from what I can se neither are in a position to run a speedway club I,m being realistic here how are they going to pay riders for instant pay rent on the Showground if they can't make up the difference to get to the 40k mark . Last thing I want is to see the club fold or any club come to that but we don't want another Birmingham situation where a club can't complete a season . Tsunami
why are they belittling , because they ask questions ??? just because people aren't stuck up tetleys and geds arse doesn't mean people are against them I think he's getting at the people who don't pay not ged and trevor By doubting everything they do and say, looks very much to me to be trying to be smart arses, whilst everyone else is doing their best to save the Panthers. It takes more guts to do something, than to be a touchline critic. I though also it was obvious that I meant the non payers, but critics, watching others trying to do something. Certainly NOT Trevor or Ged, who I wish the very best of luck with their venture. If they don't get the £40k to run, you all will not complete or even start the season.

Nowt to say, so insult someone prepared to make a comment on Peterborough's survival. Sums you up. what ??? Ged and Trevor wanting and needing the money to run. What did you think i meant. You're the one saying that you can't believe anything or everything a promoters says because you talked o a promoter once.

Nowt to say, so insult someone prepared to make a comment on Peterborough's survival. Sums you up. No point in saying anything to you though, you're on a one-way street with blinkers on . After last week's announcement I am wondering though what Rick and Julie's strategy is with getting themselves and Readypower involved again because you said: Tsunami (BSF) said, on 25 Jan 2014 - 2:32 PM: Ha Ha. And i'm the one supposed to be 'putting the boot into' Frost. I have a lot of respect for Rick but speedway was just not for him. Funnily enough posted as you were poking your nose in on the Peterborough thread last close season. So a question then as you like discussion: What have Rathbone and Swales got that Rick didn't have? Crump99
The will to run Peterborough Speedway or have you missed that fact. How can I miss it, you never shut up about it. I've missed the the fact that Rick doesn't have the will though, where did it say that?
TheScotsman
When you read on facebook about the phenomenal efforts being made by some supporters to raise the required funds, it's very sad to see the energy wasted on here in petty squabbling.
wealdstone
Certainly a lot of unnecessary rubbish. However this is mainly caused by those who deliberately or otherwise misconstrue posts by those that ask questions or do not blindly play follow my leader. Not a single post or person has decried , ridiculed ot been in any way against what Ged & Trevor are trying to do. All want Panthers to survive only some would prefer a longer term plan with an ambition or aim to return to the top flight whatever or whenever that might be. In addition to avoid an annual whip round for survival.
TheScotsman
If they are able to run in 2015, they still couldn't commit to 2016 until they see the crowd levels next year. So the funds are to run next year and give a chance of running in later seasons. EL, PL or whatever is irrelevant at the moment.
Crump99
Whoops, and there's me thinking this was a discussion forum. That was an afterthought wasn't it? I thought you'd answer the question rather than add an extra line to your post do deflect attention from the question? Anyway don't bother: PETERBOROUGH co-owners Rick Frost and Julie Mahoney have given their full backing to the club’s survival attempt. While they remain unable to assume hands-on control due to business and family commitments, they are ready to boost the rescue package put together by long-serving co-promoter Trevor Swales and Ged Rathbone. Mahoney added: “I want to place on record my thanks to both the BSPA management committee and those in charge at the Showground for allowing us to reach a position where survival can be achieved. “Trevor and Ged are the only party to have shown a serious interest in keeping Peterborough on track and we very much hope they are successful in doing so. Seems plenty of will all round to me Edited November 25, 2014 by Crump99

Crump99
Nearly 800 posts and the most sensible one is post 769 and Crump99 after reading some posts i would assume you are against speedway returning under the proposed new promotion = No Speedway If you're going to have a go then at least read the replies: Did you not read #606 or #639 "Just to clarify my position on this. I support what's going on because it keeps the club going and that's the only way that we can get back into the EL. I do not support the direction that we've been going in during 2014 & now 2015." It is the best track in the country with some of the best facilities which is why it should be at the top level of British Speedway. Not being keen about being in the PL again (although to be fair, Lakeside and Belle Vue turning up twice isn't appealing either) is nothing like wanting the club to close. proud panther
I will be amazed if we don't run, & will buy a season ticket if we do. Well done to everybody who has donated to the survival fund, & with friday night speedway, I am sure we will break even at least, as long as we have a competitive team.
