bigcatdiary
Not really, only that the fund was now over 24k and still rising.
Lukas
The thing is once we know we are racing on and what the team is then that's when we are gonna see the funds rolling in...for instance I will pay £300 for a season ticket which I've never done..to do my bit..and the same will be for sponsorship.I think £20000 will come in easy when we know what the score is which should see us OK right?..so I think Ged and trev will have to take a calculated risk banking that once that risk has been taken that the funds will roll in. Let's just declare and get a decent commercial manager onboard(mb) and see where it takes us. But I think team building will be paramount this year because let's be honest who wants to see mid table mediocracy and not ambition. To get the ball rolling how about a showcase signing at no1 to get media interest like when we signed Niki pedersen because you have to speculate to acumilate right....though to be honest I'd be happy with fish,Ulrich and blackie. LagutaRacingFan
Are we also not getting loan fees or are they going to Rick Frost? Niels, Bjerre, Hans, Batchelor will add £16k to the coffers.

Secondly unless the Panthers get a big sponsorship deal on board the club will have to be very careful who they sign as won't want to go over budget or they end up in the same situation as they are now this time next year - so wich would you rather see a stable club mid table and no money worries or go with a strong team maybe make the play offs but the begging bolws out again this time next year . Surly it's time to get the club finances stable and build on that year on year .
screm
The difference is that Peterborough is a major city and has a top football team, Kings Lynn is like Poole as there's nothing to do apart from going to the speedway. Peterborough is indeed a nice place, and I look forward to going back next season, but top football team.......

Haza
Without a decent team I can just see us being in the same situation as now when Kings Lynn dropped into the PL the club had been run down by Waggy and was in a mess Stadium owner Buster Chapman ran the club it took him a few seasons to build the club back up in the PL it was a choice of PL or no speedway and he built a side than won the PL twice got the club back onto a sound footing the point I,m making is surely club stability is more important than short time success for the Panthers yes I no we all want to win trophies but build the club up first .
25yearfan
Peterborough United FC only get crowds over 5-6000 on a good day so they can't be classed as a big club and that's also worrying for speedway cause if the Countries most popular sport can only get those sorts of crowds in a City with a 200,000+ population what chance has speedway got? The nearby King's Lynn is different in that its a small town, the speedway team gets bigger crowds than the football team, theres not so many things to do in KL compared to Peterborough, the Norfolk Arena is closer to the town centre than the EoES is so therefore the speedway gets much more focus and King's Lynn speedway gets more co-operation from the stadium owner than what the Panthers do! That said Peterborough speedway in the PL with a strongish team running on Friday nights including the big crowd pulling Good Friday night can surely attract average crowds of 700-1000? But yesterday after a dire run of results and the fans not getting the exciting football or fortress London Road that management aspire too, Posh could only attract 3,168 which shows that when people have to dip into their pockets the product has to be worth turning out for. Agree about the location, would be so much easier for all if we were at the dog track or Mick Horton's motorsport complex, both in Fengate (just off town centre) I hope it works this year so that the club builds itself back up so that Rick and Julie think about returning (understand that Swales said that we might not have seen the last of them) to return us to the highest level; whatever that is at that point. TheScotsman
There are still a few heat sponsorships available. But at least 2/3rds are gone. I'll probably need to be careful not to big up Monarchs (too much) on mine!! Anything to help keep peterborough going though.

CardinalSin
I don't think it will be as cut and dried as needing the finance before the conference to declare in or out? I think the BSPA will give Peterborough time and leave the door open if targets haven't been met by Friday.
