mudflaps
I never have got BRIDGER the part year he was at coventry he settled down a bit and rode sensibly then went away again and off the rails something not quite there for him it's a shame because we don't have many Brits coming through was that the year he had walked out on Panthers.... All Promoters should just forget Bridger - the guy has the integrity of a Weasel!
SteveLyric2
It must be the 'traveller' gene in him - he can't stay in the same place for long!!! Next stop Kings Lynn? Caravan in the car park?! Sorted. Edited May 26, 2015 by Skidder1
steven101
So he has been on twitter and it seems his reasons are because of whats happened to rico, ashworth and schlein lately, states everyteverytime he throws leg over a bike he cant help thinking about this. I still dont get why he would try tomcome back though, hes also said being thrown in at heatleader at swindon was not what he needed. We didn't sign him as a reserve and if he was unsure or not ready he should have said so. He might also have elicited some sympathy had he explained that in the first place rather than appearing to leave the club in the lurch. 40-38
"Leicester were shocked by the news that Lewis Bridger, who had just joined the club the previous week had gone back into retirement after just one appearance. “Utter disbelief is the only way I can describe the way I felt yesterday. As a club we had gone that extra mile to pave the way for Lewis to return to the sport with equipment and practice facilities all placed at his disposal. We realised that it would take him a meeting or two to get race fit but never expected this to happen. It is such a shame that such a talented British rider is lost to the sport again and no doubt there was a great deal of soul searching that Lewis went through to arrive at his decision and we wish him well in whatever he decides to do in the future” explained the Lions Promoter David Hemsley." To let Leicester down like this is typical Bridger, he knew he would be a heat leader before he joined and he knows the dangers of the sport before he signed.

Very true. Bridger is always full of excuses. I don't rate him as a rider so think Leicester are better without him. Always been out for himself. mdmc82
Instead of Wolves v Coventry ??- madness !!! could SKY be visiting the Premier league the previous week as well ?? Have to say I agree. Wolves V Coventry has the makings of a good close meeting on a good track. Hopefully Leicester will have a team by then and we won't just be watching a team made up of guests. Hope the track produces some racing.
stevec
I have to say it a real shame that three of last years Eastbourne riders have now let the Lions down. It really is a pity the Lewis had not lived up to the potential he once had. It was so much fun seeing him go faster and faster in the second halves at Arlington and I remember clearly the day he beat the 60 second barrier. Then he went off to the Wildcats and set the national League on fire. Then he rode for Eastbourne in the Elite and although he was a bit off and on, he could be such an exciting rider on his night. Where it all went wrong, I don't know. He was a bit of a wild boy, I am not sure if he had the right management or commitment. Only he knows what is in his head. I cant defend the people he has let down, all I can say is that the few times I have chatted to him he has been honest and seems like a decent lad and I know that Rico did seriously hit him hard. All the best for the future Lewis, whatever you do.

Just asking!

Just asking! The sun is due to set at 21.32 hours on 29th June. It should be setting somewhere at the back of Walkers Crisps by then so it should not be so much of a problem. Something does need to be done about the sun at this time of the year and late August/September - not sure what but no doubt the brains on here will come up with some cheap, practical suggestions. Big Al
So who will be next up in the quest to find a rider who lasts more than a match/is bothered/takes the money and runs? Will Adrian Miedzinski be resuming at Swindon - it doesn't look as if they'll be able to fit him in under the points limit rules. Will he be back to the UK at all? Would Leicester be able to fit him in, as a replacement for Bridger? Where will Mr Ward be, come end of June? Where will Mr Holder be? Not at Leicester, I'd guess. Presumably with Kildemand riding as an "injury replacement" Miedzinski would just slot back in.

If PK was simply a minimum 28=day replacement, then Miedzinski will just slot back in. Unless they've redeclared of course?!
Pinny
Bridger lets club down again shock horror! Lets hope his latest retirement is more permanant - hes much more suited to being bashed around a UFC ring than riding a speedway bike
