foreverblue
Easier? He rode part of last season as a second string, if he drops to second string this year he's not going to have time to get his average back up as a second string due to starting later There is plenty of time left to get his average up its only the middle of may. weatherwatcher
What ever happens the team just can't get any worse than the state they are in now, riders leaving after a few wekks, plus 2 riders injured, it seems that luck just isn't on the Lions side. I think it's not just down to luck, having a manager that publicly bad mouths individual riders might have contributed to them wanting to leave.
Bagpuss
I think you will find Bridger has already reached his potential Don't be silly. He was scoring double figures in the EL at 16 and rode in World U21 finals. Potentially he could / should have been much, much better than he is.
SCB
His rolling averages is going to go up to near 8 next month - if he can just maintain over a season thats decent rider standard. Lewis problems is he's too up and down, get some consistency and he's capable of being a threat to the GPs - which will make him a decent enough SWC rider. weatherwatcher
I have said for weeks now that Norrie should go. He just has not got the right attitude to bring out the best in riders. I loved what he wrote on the Lions website, with a double quote saying that the club had done its best for the riders and that the management where not at fault with the riders leaving or words to that affect. Always the guilty party that states the inevitable faults they make. With a half decent manager in charge, I think you would see a far better response from the team than whet we are getting from them now. The beaten child will always look upon a belt as a form of punishment, much in the same way as the riders see in the way that Norrie cries them down at the end of meetings in front of all who stop to listen. It dosen't do the moral of the team any good at all. Not saying, that they should get away with a bad performance, but there are ways to do it and he goes about it all wrong. He is not a team manager. Perhaps he is OK working one to one with a rider, but they must have some thick skins put put up with some of his remarks. And of course you're in the pits every week to hear all this, not! Norris could be just the right man to sort Lewis's head out.... Have any ex Leicester riders gone to other BEL clubs after leaving Leicester this past season and a quarter? No, I cannot think of any, they just used Leicester as pre-season practise sessions for their own leagues.. Well, no more.......
weatherwatcher
So they keep saying but last year and again this year they have signed riders that have only stayed for a few weeks then left the club in the lerch. I hope they have learnt their lesson on signing these sort of riders again next year. It is hard hard job to find the sort of riders who are fully comotted to ride here for a full season and with the lack of top riders from this country we are having to turn more and more to overseas riders. I for one hope that they can keep Jason again for another year, but even he must be getting very fed up with a lack of riders who are there to back him up. Just hope that who ever they now bring in to fill the other place has enough ambision to help the Lions climb off the foot of the table. I am not on my own with my way of thinking about Norrie. we all of an opinion and I know how I feel about him.

naffer
Robert Lambert is the real deal, forget Bridger too up and down. Well he does like to pop a wheelie does Lewis. I hope this works out for both parties the lions need a boost and Lewis needs direction, mainly gate turn left and concentrate.
Red Panda
The only thing about Bridger is he had all the potential and failed to deliver.............Lewis needs to concentrate on being Lewis not the big I am he makes out he is.................. speedibee
It has hard to say what goes on inside a persons mind. Lots of people have tried to find out but the answer still lies with the person in question. I would love to see Lewis do well this time around and I hope that now he has been given another slice of the pie so to speak, that he has got his house in order and that he can managed to finish the rest of the season and do the Lions proud. There is still that chance though, that something goes wrong upstairs again and he fails to bring the goods. Wish him all the best because he is a rider with great talent, that has been wrecked over the years with all his life's troubles and woes. Looking forward to see how he goes at BP. Only taking a guess at the other rider being someone we least expect, I am guessing at a Russian. a match made in heaven , Norrie Allen , David Hemsley , and Lewis Bridger .. hahaha . there wont be much cause for celebration at Leicester this year again , but that doesn't mean there wont be any fireworks , they didn't give bridger a pen to sign with , they gave him some matches to light the blue touch paper
sommelier
Robert Lambert is the real deal, forget Bridger too up and down. Yes, Lambert is the real deal, i was banging on about him all last year, a lot of people NOt agreeing with me. If i was a promotor, the one rider i would be head hunting at all costs would be Brady Kurtz!!

Daniel Smith
Bridger had become a showboat rider. No matter what position would still throw a wheelie down the straights and in the turns constantly has this flash foot off the foot peg thing going on. On occasions thrown points away because of it. It comes across to me that just riding the bike is too easy for him so he adds his own personal challenges to keep his mind entertained. Super talented, as good as any Brit around but lacks focus. If Norrie Allen is an ass kicker this could be an absolutely perfect partnership for both. Edited May 20, 2015 by screamer

Can't agree with as good as any, he is a good rider, good but not outstanding you can't compare him with riders like Tai or Harris, Robert Lambert will prove to be a far better rider. At 16 Bridger was in the Elite League having already averaged 9 plus as a 15 year old in the Conference League making him far better than Harris at that age - an illustration of how much unfulfilled potential LB has.
