Leicester Lions 2015

It would not be a bad shout to get Phil Morris. Not sure if he would miss to many Saturday meetings with his GP role this year. But do they not run the EL when it is GP night. He is one person who knows how to get the riders to work well together.

Just don't like Norries attitude towards the riders. Not sure how anyone at work would feel if you under perfomed and the works manager, put an article about you in the local paper, instead of having you in the office and telling you face to face.

No different.

I'd say Norrie is Teflon man. If there is one thing he is good at it's PR. Edited by TMW

The fans should know, they pay the riders wages!

Can't see Norrie being there much longer. May be wrong, but I think the writing is already on the wall. If they lose many more meetings he will be gone. And not before time. Don't think he should have been back this season, there are far better guys out there, that know how to work alongside the riders not pull against them.

They should have got rid of him last year, the abuse he gave to all his riders, especially the reserves was pathetic for a so called "team manager" with his alleged experience.the bloke is a complete fool looking out only for himself.£££..Helmsley is an even bigger fool for believing all his ####.

Ah diddums......the poor riders can't get criticised......typical of modern day Britain where everybody seems to be offended, what happened to taking it on the chin......who said the Bulldog spirit was dead!

It makes me laugh about these comments regarding Norrie he is straight talking and you know exactly where you stand with him.

All riders know exactly where they stand with him and that is the respect he has got. There is none of what other managers do praise a rider in the program or press then sack them 24hrs later if Norrie is unhappy he will tell you about it. I like the way as well that he always talks to the fans and never shys away from awkward questions

At times after the meeting when he talks to the fans he talks a load of Bull. As I said a manager should not air his washing out in the press, it should be done behind closed dors face to face with the team.

Talk about a load of Bull.

I reckon you are the World Champion in that department!

What do Leicester have in the way of available help in the pits from people with recent experience and knowledge of speedway bikes and tracks (apart from the riders), and how to get the best out of them? This is where having a team manager and/or promoter who can man-manage and knows the mechanical and track side of things, is worth his weight in gold?

Who do Leicester have, with anything approaching this skill set?

It seems the rule in speedway is you are only allowed to criticize if you can or did do a better job.Guess Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger are lucky they are not in the speedway game eh

As things are going, we where strong on paper or it looked that way at the start of the seson, now we are languishing at the foot of the table again this season the same as last year. Would not be at all suprised if we have seen the last of Pederson riding in British speedway. Again we are following the same pattern as last season, if he has gone then they need to get another rider in straight away and not bring in guest riders to cover, it didn't work last year and it will never work, to much chopping and changing a team needs a solid base of 7 riders, who race as a team every week together.

What is the feelings amounst the team, they just don't seem to have that get up and go, that they had at the end of the season when the team was was working together, but it was to late to save the day.

Unless something is done to bring some confidence into the team, then I am afraid the Lions are going to be holding up the league, until close of play.

A lot of other people on here have already given some of the answers to what needs to be done to bring things around. So how long will it take to make anything happen, not to long I hope as the Lions had every chance of getting past half way or futher up the league standings, afraid the way things are now, that will not be happening. Sorry but it no use trying to flog a dead horse, so the saying goes and that is what the Lions are now.

They need something injecting into the team to turn them into a young stallion.

So how long will DH put up with the team failing to only manage 1 win and sitting again at the bottom of the League standings. I would love to be a fly on the wall, just now to hear what is being saaid behind closed doors. DH was so confident that he had managed to put together on paper that was a team that would be contending a top place this year, but sorry to say things don't seem to be firing on all cylinders, or should I say the one cylinder.

With 2 riders out now due to injuries things are looking even grimmer, also will Pederson come back or have we got a repeat of the start of last season. I should think that the air is just a shade higher than Blue, more a very dark Purple.

At last Leicester Lions are to feature in a live Sky TV match in June away to Coventry. I have been in touch with Sky during the past few weeks pointing out that it was not fair that Leicester were not getting a fairer share of such matches and it was about time that the powers that be realized this. Looks like it worked.

After their previous TV match at home both Kelvin & Nigel said in their closing comments that we've had a good night tonight and I thought that it was quite good when I watched it afterwards.
