lionking
While i agree with opening the season with the East Midlands bowl what disappoints me is that Coventry are our first 2 matches of the season at home Of course it's dissapointing not having a full team on view for the first match of the season . that I'm afraid is the position the whole Elite league has allowed itself to become ,, always the bottom of the pile , when it comes to rider commitment .. it seems to have taken only 2 seasons to have slipped into the easy option of the same local rivals everytime theres fixture spaces ,, and David Hemsley has quickly caught the Elite promoters disease of lack of promotion/innovation . after many years Elite league promotion has become little more than an exercise in going through the motions . each new season becomes less and less of an attraction .. Does anyone know?

stevethelion
It was announced ages ago - Swindon start with home and away wins on Good Friday against the pugwash girls Ok thanks, just wondered why it's still shown on the fixtures, admittedly as provisional. T.N.T.
Greg Walasek addds some vast experience to the Leicester team and on his day can beat anyone and although he only rode in 8 meetings for Czestochowa in Poland, he scored an 18 point maximum at Champions, Gorzow beating Iversen, Zagar, and Kasprzak which is a remarkable achievement but the two meetings either side he managed just 3 points from 7 stars which underlines his inconsistancy. He finished the Swedish season off in style with a 16 point score against Vastervik beating Andersen, Kasprzak and Pawlicki, winning five of his six races but up to that meeting had only won two races in the previous seven meetings. He certainly didn't do as many meetings last season as in 2013 and after the problems at Czestochowa a deal in Britain is perfect for him to ride more again. While I think he is a capable rider and as third heat leader he could be a very good signing, I still don't see Leicester as plat off contenders but should be very hard to beat at home and on their day could spank a few teams quite heavily but I don't see them doing much away.
TMW
Now the team is announced who do we want to guest vs Coventry as i believe Simon Lambert is missing riding for Peterborough vs GB Select & i was told that Bjarne Pedersen's polish club Gniezno are holding a training camp next weekend so he will be missing . Great way to start the season !!!!! Whilst I appreciate your keeping us up to date on all things Leicester should we not wait for the official line up for the meetings
Gemini
No rider links in his entry in the 2015 rider index on the BSPA web site. Thank you. Obviously not a relative then.
waiheke1
If coventrys final rider is klindt, then I would tip leicester to make the top four ahead of the bees.
mdmc82
If coventrys final rider is klindt, then I would tip leicester to make the top four ahead of the bees. If our final rider is Klindt then I would be very disappointed but still think Coventry look strong elsewhere in the team. At present I would place Leicester 6th after Poole, Swindon, Kings Lynn, Coventry and Belle Vue. However that's just on paper. A lot will depend on form, injuries and how often riders are missing due to clashes.

So what is your opinion now that it's Jakub Jamrog? Do we nip in above Leicester now? Edited March 8, 2015 by Gemini

No still think Coventry will finish above Leicester. Bjarne inconsistent with more down than up (esp against Poole) Auty will be a big loss when missing due to fixture clashes. Nobody knows yet though how Leicesters new signings will take to that track. Edited March 8, 2015 by mdmc82

Nobody knows yet though how Leicesters new signings will take to that track. One thing Bjarne is NOT is inconsistent. He's a model of consistency - right down to the fact we know he'll score about 4 against Poole When you put up the Bees against Leicester man-for-man then Leicester have the better team IMO. But then I think Leicester have a very good team.
weatherwatcher
A strong team built up of a sound grounding of riders, there is age and experiance plus some new young blood in there that will not doubt get all the help possible from the teams older riders, some say we are not the strongest team on paper, but how many times has it been proved that it is not always the team with the so called top riders in the team that fall flat on thier faces. Think the Lions are going to suprise quite a few teams this year both at home and away. With some decent riders to back up Jason Doyle we could be the team that that don't want to ride against or at least that is what we hope will happen. Lets start the season and see how things shape up.
Woz01
I like the Leicester side too. Certainly up there with 5 other sides fighting for the top 4 (if Poole make the expected signings). Think Lakeside and Wolves will be bottom 2. SCB
I fancy us for Top 4 It depends on Wozniak. Polish League scores suggests a pretty tidy signing, Ben Fund meeting suggest not quite so tidy. Lets just hope Bees and Lions Polish signing just had off days as Polish form suggests both should be tidy signings.
