A ORLOV
Please be assured this is not a racist post. I believe Leicester is the only city in the UK with a majority non-white population. Is this cultural diversity reflected in the attendance at Leicester speedway?. As we are now a multi-cultural society does speedway in general attract a diverse audience?. If not, why not and what can speedway do to broaden it's appeal?. Try to encourage some of the ethnic youngsters to give riding a bike a try, or get involved as a mechanic. There are lots and lots of Polish people in Leicester, but to be honest, I interview Polish people every day, and only perhaps 1 out of every 10 know what Speedway is, and even fewer have ever gone to Speedway, and nearly all of them have never been to Leicester Speedway... It's all relative I suppose, Poland is a very big Country and probably the ratio of Polish people attending Polish Speedway in Poland is a only a marginally higher ratio than in the UK..... Good question although not sure why this should be on this particular thread (other than Leicester being multi cultural) mabe worth you starting a dedicated one as clearly Speedway like other sports should seek to attract supporter from across the whole ethnic spectrum

If you could get 1 asian family to become regular supporters you would instantly double the crowd and without causing any extra parking proiblems because they would all arrive in 1 Nissan sunny .. . not sure if a family ticket includes 200 kids though !! seriously it's not in their nature to attend motorsports , so fortunately we are unlikely to ever see a mass of Turbans on the terraces ,, one of the things I like about speedway is it's current demographic .. Please be assured if anyone views this post as racist .. I dont care
flagrag
They were corporate customers but last season there was group of about 20 Asians that came a couple of times and used the executive box and seemed to have a good night so much so some of them went to the track shop to buy replica raceshirts and baseball caps.
