Happy Hunter
Does it matter to the spectators that a riders changing room may be built? If memory serves me right DH said that it would give riders and spectators more chance to mingle or words to that effect.
steve9
the best team man, mingler and captain just signed for BV. Good luck Simon Stead. The lions promotion better be about to announce one hell of a top 5 thats all I can say
weatherwatcher
Sorry to see Simon Stead go he did a fantastic job this season, best of luck at BV mate. Spoke to him a few time at BP real nice guy. Anything that make the stadium better must sruelly matter to the fans. At least they are doing a sight more than other stadiums around the country. So yes to me as a fan it matters a great deal what they do in and around the stadium. As I see it cook is nothing better than a top PL rider and after what I saw of him at Cardiff, he is just going nowhere on the world stage. 1 valve
Shame we will not be seeing him ride for the Lions as his form was coming on strong the more he remained free from injury. I guess he prefers the shorter traveling distance for home meetings as well as returning back to one of his former tracks. Meanwhile does he still remain a Swindon asset? Cannot see anything to say it was a full transfer. Maybe it's just another 1 year loan-out deal from Swindon ...

Not sure if its a tad early to count Cook as a Lions rider (if you are doing so) and in terms of comparison to Simon, the relivance. However as I see it so far, SS has been riding for 16 years and has won 1 PL individual title after 15 years and rode in one GP via a wild card scoring 3 points in his 8 season. Meanwhile CC has been riding speedway for 6 years has won 1 PL individual championship after 4 years and qualified for 1 GP scoring 2 points in his 6th season. So as for going nowhere CC looks (at the very least) to be getting (or as got to) SS level already (big stage wise) - and he is very quick around BP. Big Al
He is now a Sheffield asset. Could also be that Leicester will run a couple more times on Thursdays, so potentially more date clashes with his Sheffield commitments, in addition to having quite a few Saturday clashes - not such a problem if he's with an Elite Monday track, so less matches missed = more £ earning - plus seems to do well at BV and of course strong links there from previous stint? Similar possibly applies to explain decision not to choose Bates in the draft?

This sounds interesting.

INCOGNITO
Unless they can pull a big rabbit out of the hat, Leicester look like they could struggling to get a team anywhere near to the points limit.
SCB
Unless they can pull a big rabbit out of the hat, Leicester look like they could struggling to get a team anywhere near to the points limit. Now why did nobody notice this around the time of the AGM? If only someone, somewhere had suggested this may be the case. Even maybe a fan on an internet forum. Oh. Woz01
Leicester were one of the sides wanting the higher limit!
Bagpuss
Quite scary that the 34 limit could lead to a very lopsidedand unappealing league. You have to wonder what goes on at these AGM's, what on earth the motivation is for some of these promoters.

The problem is, for all the riders tempted back (Jonsson and Lindgren so far), the same number of riders have dropped out. There has also been the idea of job-sharing banded around, but no team seems to be seriously considering this.

There has also been the idea of job-sharing banded around, but no team seems to be seriously considering this. The job-share was only 'bandied about' to try to entice Woffy to stay in the EL. If he'd agreed then it would have been rolled out to all clubs. Once he said 'NO', it was withdrawn from other promotions - BUT could be revisited at the January BSPA meeting if some clubs are still struggling to put a decent side together. proud panther
A couple of people have mentioned more work being done to improve the track over the winter. Can anyone from Leicester confirm if this is true ?
stevebrum
Unless they can pull a big rabbit out of the hat, Leicester look like they could struggling to get a team anywhere near to the points limit.
