Christopher Bcmma Cook
I wasn't born when he rode for Leicester, I am told tho it wasn't long after that meeting that he had his big accident which I believe resulted in him dropping down to the national league I think it was back then, still a bit before my time tho. He's doing well at the moment more into his Superbikes these days than Speedway but i'm tempting him to going to a grand prix hopefully this year
Elmo
Shame Colin didn't know the way to Wolverhampton though. We once followed him thinking a speedway rider would definitely be on the right track but he got off at junction 9, drove down the road then into a petrol station, turned round and back on the M6 with us following. We all got there eventually. There was another match I recall against Coventry (got the video somewhere) when Mark Courtney was trailing his leg through a big puddle on the track so it splashed Ole Olsen on each lap. Have I mentioned I used to hate Ole? I thought it was great. It was Kevin Hawkins getting splashed but Olsen got the hump about it
Gemini
Oh was it? I thought I was doing well with my memory remembering Ole and Mark were involved. Obviously I'm not as clever as I thought.
lionking
I am lead to believe that Ged Rathbone at Peterborough has made an approach to Leicester to speak to Szymon Wozniak about doubling up for the remainder of the season in the PL. How that fits in with Szymon Wozniak's fixtures in Poland remains to be seen but if he did i would head to EOES to watch him regular

As he had an assessed average at the start of the season.
flagrag
I also thought there was a ruling that Polish riders can only ride Premier league if on ACU licenses. I would also be surprised at Bydgoscz allowing this especially as he is now one of their top riders although they may not have many fixtures left
Astill lodge lion
Does anyone have info on the below points I've heard little about recently :- I heard that Neil Machin, formerly promoter at Sheffield is now co-promoter at Leicester. Unfortunately I didn't get last weeks Speedway star (where I believe this was covered) or hear the interview Rob Sensical did on Monday. Can someone clarify the reason he has been brought in & what the thinking is behind it? Any news on the Jason Doyle transfer? It was due to go to a tribunal, but I have not heard anything since. I heard that DMU are working with Beaumont Town FC on a £2M upgrade of their pitch facilities. I take it this is on the current football pitches and will not use any of the land around the speedway. Is this an opportunity missed? Edited July 1, 2015 by Astill lodge lion

TMW
Just seen this on the FB page if anyone has any info ------------------------------------------- *** ALERT ***Leicester Speedway are extremely disappointed to find that the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium has been broken into about 6.30pm this evening. Due to the high level of security we have invested in, the damage was limited, the Management and Police are on site. If anyone saw or hears of anything suspicious please contact the office. Police are carrying out further investigations.

weatherwatcher
So some mindless yobs have again broken into BP, this is the third time they have been targeted, not sure what they plan to get away with, it is great to see that since the last break in that they have up-graded the security system, so some money well spent. Why oh why can't people just keep their fingers out of other people property. I just hope whoever did this gets caught this time, they must leave some sort of evidence. DNA etc, so lets get them behind bars, but knowing how the courts rule things they just may get away with a slapped wrist, and a few hours comunity service, what a laugh, we have gone to soft on them these days. Seen the comunity guys round our way and they have the time of their lives. They where dropped off in a local carpark with 4 people in charge and to start their day of punshment, they all went to the snack bar for bacon butties. Sure this really make them feel sorry for what they have done.

What did you expect ?. the track is in Beaumont Leys , its in a park where drug dealers and all sorts of other criminals frequent , right in the middle of one of the worst areas of Leicester , the only surprise is that is only the third such attack . good job the police station is just in front of the place because if it was further away the lowlifes would calculate that they have more time to do more damage before the police arrived
