Alan_Jones
I thought Aussies couldn't double up / down ? They can on a Tier 2 visa, not with a Tier 5.
weatherwatcher
Just been taking a look at the PL green sheet table and Sam Master is top of the averages, just hope that he can still play the same role as he in with the Edingborough team when he joins the Lions. We need all the luck we can get, as things have not gone the Lions way again this seson, much of a repeate of last year so far. Things can only get better I hope. Crazy robin
Could have done better with the extra point in hand, DH is still acting if this is a PL club not in the EL, he may have put in some decent rides at but but he also had some howlers. Would have loved to have seen one of the Laguta's over here riding for the Lions. What has happened with the. "We will not be signing any more double up riders at BP again" didn't even last the season out that one. Think it will be very hard work to claw their way off the bottom of the league. If this year is another failure, will DH be thinking of dropping back down to the PL, or will he have another go at the EL, with 7 decent riders Not the sort we have seen that just use the club for a few weeks until things start at their home tracks and riders who are only fit to ride in far lower leagues. But riders who are true EL riders, We have 3 maybe 4 very good or decent riders the others are very questionable, to ride in this level of speedway. I think DH needs to sit down around the end of August and start to put a list of names together, with Jason Doyle at the rop of the list, if they can get him to come back again, again he has been let down with the riders that where brought here to help make life at BP a pleasure not a big struggle. From the way he is riding at the moment he dosen't seem to have his full heart in the task. You can't really blame him. Think Doyley will be back with the Robins in 2016 as the bad feelings have gone & no transfer has been done.
ekimba
Wasn't at Edinburgh tonight but reading about Sam's behaviour you may not be seeing him for a while, there is no excuse for attacking another rider, this isn't ice hockey.

mdmc82
Are Bridger & Masters much of a improvement on Pedersen & Mikkel? Still has wooden spoon wrote all over it 😞
Woz01
The way Pedersen and Michelsen were riding Bridger and Master will probably be an improvement but Leicester will still struggle.
barrow boy
What has happened with the. "We will not be signing any more double up riders at BP again" didn't even last the season out that one. I think Sam Masters may now be a Leicester asset because it states on the Leicester Website that DH has entered the transfer market to sign him. If this is correct then he becomes a double downer and allows Leicester to have first claim on his services whenever Leicester & Edinburgh fixtures clash. The same thing happened with Poole and Josh where they didn't get priority even though he is an asset because they brought him into the team late.I thought it said they were entering the transfer market to "sign" not buy? arnieg
So our new signing is a thug who behaves like a petulant child. And Lewis Bridger isn't any better.

neb
Just saw it. Probably not the smartest move by Sam! Was Bjerre "asking for it" it or was he riding fairly?i dont think anybody asked to be knocked of their bike after a race kicked and punched while on the floor then head butted in the pits 5 mins later thats not the way forward. Out of the pick of the whole PL which seems to be the way they have gone for a rider, there must be better riders who would have taken the chance to ride at Leicester, or on second thoughts would they even bother. It seems to me that the management want to run the club on a low budget. DH wants to do well in the EL only he falls short when it comes to bringing riders in. You were saying at the beginning of the season how well DH had done with the team he had brought in.

weatherwatcher
What looked like being a very good team on paper at the start of the season soon proved to be very wrong, Pederson just didn't want to be there Mikleson to the same track as the 2 last season with an injury and then not returning Jason Doyle just seems to be lacking something in the EL with machanical problems galore, has he got his best bikes stored abroad. The other riders have been very up and down Simonz does seem to be improving and Woz has just come back from injury. Not sure if the 2 signings are the answer to trying to get off the bottom of the league. We will have to wait a week or so to see how they shape up. All in all it has been a very poor year for the Lions.

weatherwatcher
I am afraid that this is the sorry state of British EL speedway they are now really struggling to even make up 8 teams of 5 riders, without having to have PL riders doubling up to fill the places. Years ago it was who was going to be left out, now it is trying to find a riders to fill up a team place. If things do work out with the reserve lads in the coming years then we should be in a position to see quite a few good homw spun lads, vying for team places in the El, this is if it is still around then. If not something will have come along to have taken its place. The days of Rule Britania, seems to have sunken under 20 fathoms or more and not only in our sport, but many others. No longer are we riding the waves of sporting supriemorship, bit a flalingg nation. on the verge of going under.
