TMW
On a nice positive note the last remaining rider will hopefully be confirmed later this week all being well Are we to assume from that statement that all isn't well ? weatherwatcher
Klindt did a half decent job last year had a few terrible meeting but on the whole he was up there.

Big Al
Does anyone know if the transfer deal for Jason Doyle has been completed yet? Presumably his work permit was correctly applied for this time, with Leicester named as his sponsors/employers rather than Swindon.......so presumably his transfer had also been settled when the application was made?? No idea, as noone is saying anything that is happening at the club. The fans would love to know how things are going along with the tranfer and Jasons visa application. But they are keeping stum. lionking
I think it is irrelevant if the deal has been done with Swindon or not with regards to JD visa because he will be a Leicester rider in 2015 so they will be his sponsor . Also even if the deal is not done it will go to arbitration before the season starts so Leicester 100% will be his employer Does anyone know if the transfer deal for Jason Doyle has been completed yet? justathought
UKVI Update Leicester Speedway has now received confirmation that they have been issued with a new sponsor’s licence by UK Visas and Immigration which allows the club to sponsor non-EU riders. “We have been on the ball with the administration, following the process to regain a new licence and have moved with speed to ensure that there were no delays on our part. I am pleased to say that we have assigned a new certificate of sponsorship to employ Jason Doyle and he can now re-apply for his UK visa” explained the Lions Promoter David Hemsley. weatherwatcher
At least we have one piece of good news, now it all hangs on Jason getting his vasa sorted out in time for the start of the season. If they moves as fast as they have done with the sponsership issues, then he should not have any problems. Lets hope so. Now all we need is one more name. Also has anyone any idea of what has been going on at the track since the season ended, has anything been altered or is the track just the same as last year, it did seem to race a bit better the last few meetings but it still has a long way to go before it is a truely great track. Still enjoy the meetings though, but with a few alterations it would be a lot more interesting. BTFC LION
Had a walk by BP about 3 weeks ago. Lots of painting had been done. People working around the pits area. Tractor parked on the start line. Could not really see any difference in the track, but I did not really study it, as I was just passing by. flagrag
Skidder1 It has obviously been a lot more difficult than planned to get that last rider so plans & ideas may have had to be reviewed and amended. However i am sure it will become clear very soon, If the team has the riders in it that I expect to be in it should make Leicester fans very happy. I made a quick visit to the track a couple of weeks when in Leicester for the Rugby and looked like some extra work had taken place although I think the tractor lives on the startline now for security. lionking
Apart from a lick of paint here & there the only upgrade is that they have moved the porta-cabin that used to be shires motorcycle training from the car park to behind the pits which will now be a top of the range medical centre to treat riders if injured instead of in the back of the ambulance like in the past. No track alterations & no changing rooms & showers as originally planned.

No track alterations & no changing rooms & showers as originally planned. That sounds about right, all the promises that DH made to me last season, where just a pack of lies. I asked if they could put a path from the disabled viewing area to the toilets a matter of a few slabs, or a bit of concrete, to allow wheelchair users to be able to get across that horrid area of large road stone, he said it was all in the plans for this winter with the changing rooms and showers, so what happened to that pipe dream. For anyone in a manual wheelchair there is no way you can take the short cut to the toilets and have to go all the way around the stands, which can be a nightmare with people standing in the way, I use a wheelchair and tried once and had to struggle to get back again. I was told that one of the attendants could be asked to push you round, but I like to have what little bit of indepenance I have left. It would cost a fortune and they could do the job in lees than a day, I even got the supporters club to have a go at the management for me, but alll they got back was the same one I received that it was not in the pipeline to be done this or next year.

Last year DH was still building the new toilets block a week before the start so there is still plenty of time to lay a path.
