Leicester Lions 2015

JD now joins four other riders with connections to Leicester Speedway who have won the Australian solo championship - Ken Mckinlay, John Boulger, John Titman & Steve Regeling.

Although only John Boulger did it while attached to Leicester.

Winning a national championship is of course an accomplishment to be proud of. Looking at the quality of the opposition, though, Doyle would be expected to comfortably win over a four round series. Australia isn't the force it used to be.

Really? The Australian Championship 2015 may not have been as strong as it once was but with riders like Ward, Holder (only half the rounds due to injury), Watt, Schlein and Batchelor the Aussies are not exactly lacking talent.

I too would like to congratulate Jason Doyle on his Aussie title - Doyley is certainly stepping up a notch or two in terms of his speedway career at present ( reminds me of Iversen a couple of years ago )

He took the time and money to ship his european bikes down under rather than rely on equipment down there - This shows a great professional approach. sure pleased he rides for the Lions and is a genuine number 1. something many doubted this time last year. Now what about the two riders we still need, where are they? who are they?

Leicester making an application to have Doyle filling two team places (probably 1 and 3). Trying to get full value for the expected transfer fee

I don't believe many people doubted his Number 1 billing?! What they were doubting this time last year was whether he would get a visa!! :D:D

And there they are trying to sell season tickets and applications must be in by the end of January. Who in their right minds would even consider buying a season ticket, when the fans don't know if we have even got a full team to go and watch, it would be rather unfair to go and watch a team of 5 riders against 7. I can't see why they are holding back the information on who the other 2 riders are going to be.

If they don't know by now who they have got lined up, then all I can say it is very bad management. The fans of the Lions want to know who the full team will be and it is the same evry year, why do they always have to do everything so cloack and dagger. Come on DH at least give us some pointers.

Miedzinski is one of them.
