foreverblue
Think a full strength Kings Lynn could have done it but both Kings Lynn & Coventry will now have more than 1 rider out for play offs without a suitable replacement through no fault of their own. I thought Piotr was now injured which was why he didn't ride in Swedish play offs a couple of days ago? Unfortunately for coventry they got rid of the rider who could of made a real difference in the play offs. Unfortunately poole also need a guest or two to cover for unavailable riders but hopefully we will only need one guest and hopefully coventry and kings lynn will only need one too. These guest riders can demand what they like, personally I would go for nicholls.
Star Lady
But if Lynn were the first meeting whatever would Sky talk about during the BV Vs Coventry match? Coventry going first allows them to big up the second meeting during the first. If BV get ahead they start to talk about Poole and if Lynn get ahead they talk about all the injuries Poole have got Cynic - me ....Cos I'm not No disrespect intended to Coventry kings lynn will only need one too Oh dear maths not a strong point down in Dorset? NKI makes one and Lewis Rose mades TWO. Edited September 19, 2014 by Star Lady
foreverblue
I think we're being stitched up anyway before the Bomber debacle. With the importance of our meeting with Belle Vue, why we've been given the 2nd shift I do not know. If Coventry had something riding on this meeting then no problem but it's pretty much a dead rubber. The weather is always a little shaky in Manchester. There does seem an element of hope from the ivory towers that Poole top the table and what better way to do that than have Kings Lynn as the 2nd meeting at Belle Vue. Also giving the Aces vital track time or being called off. Dont see it makes a difference, cant see why belle vue riders need track time on their own track at this stage of the season! Isnt it the case that this meeting was arranged before it became clear that coventry were out of the top spot picture and it was originally a coventry fixture, only madeinto a double meeting to squeeze kings lynn in before the deadline. Might work in kings lynn favour belle vue might be all worn out after the first meeting and the second meeting will be more gate and go which should suit kings lynn. Rob B
Belle Vue have a curfew, am I wrong to worry that our meeting on Monday may not go the distance so we may not have 15 races to get the required win? Should our meeting be first given it is so important? Curfew is 10.30 and double header on Monday finished dead on 10.30 including some problems with tapes. My concern is the delays caused by sky with interviews and adverts. When this was announced couple of weeks ago it looked like the Coventry meeting would be more important to decide finishing place, I suspect now the Kings Lynn meeting will be moved first,
Trees
The Lynn match should be first as it is most important ....

John Leslie
From what I've heard, Belle Vue had two available dates - Wednesday just gone, and Monday coming. As the King's Lynn match is more important they were given Wednesday, and Coventry given next Monday. (makes sense because if Wednesday had been rained off it could still be rearranged for Monday). Then Lynn realised they would have been without Kenneth Bjerre on Wednesday due to Danish(?) play-offs, so they decided they didn't want to go. With Lynn refusing to go on Wednesday, the only option was to make a double-header after the Coventry match on Monday. king's Lynn would presumably have used Harris in a single match, but now as a double header they wouldn't want to run the risk of anything going wrong with Harris in the Coventry match and losing their guest. Bagpuss
Almost certainly going to be without Bjerre anyway. All a bit of a mess really!
pointsmeanplayoffs
Awful news that Kenneth is missing the GP qualifier on Sat, almost certain he'll miss the Monday meeting too. Stars missing their Top 2, expect Rob and Buster to have same pretty large phone bills after this weekend!

We were right to not agree to Wednesday as we'd have been left with a 6 point PL guest for Bjerre.
TesarRacing
Unfortunately for coventry they got rid of the rider who could of made a real difference in the play offs. Maybe the thinking was that they wouldn't have got to the play-offs if they had kept him.
hyderd
Well after the match fixing last season (you all know what I'm talking about) I hope Belle Vue have some dodgy engine failures resulting in the match being won by Lynn who take a big 4 points and top the league. DizzAssStar
I just hope belle vue win both meetings. You can rest assured that Poo will be the winners on Monday night........... Sky will make absolutely sure of that ............ they've done nothing other than crow about the PieRats for weeks now. So no worries................... you've got that "little" extra help to ensure you remain top of table ................. exactly as Sky want it!
