Tabashir
There is a petition going on to try to get the government to adopt the "Agent of Change" principle where if somebody builds near an existing noisy site then it is their problem to soundproof, not the site that is already existing. This seems to fit the situation that Speedway tracks can encounter. Not sure if the principle applies if somebody moves into a property that is already there. The petition is focused on music, but any changes in legislation would likely cover other 'noisy' sites. https://www.change.org/p/sajid-javid-mp-adopt-the-agent-of-change-principle Takes a few seconds to sign. Tsunami
I seem to remember that late in the last Labour government under Brown, were considering a bill to prevent or deter developers closing stadia that provided social access to sport for the public. I am sure it was discussed on here, and warmly welcomed. Wonder what happened to the bill, as it seemed that it was going to be difficult to dislodge Status Quo situations.
