greyhoundp
First of all well done to Danny Halsey, the Cradley fans, we really need to go through a period of NOT winning anything then maybe the hotheads will drift away, it seems from reports almost every time a rider or the Team gets beat someone kicks off.
Blackbird
With Greaves, Phillips and now possibly Clegg facing bans, then that period without winning something might yet begin this season...
Fozzie4388
Cradley rider didn't win? I'm guessing someone cheated right?
Silver Cheetah Snr
Cradley rider didn't win? I'm guessing someone cheated right? Yes the referee according to certain Cradley fans.
Mimmo
Well done to Dan Halsey, a deserved winner, but as speedway meetings go, it's the biggest load of crap I've seen this season.
Shadders
I agree. It was an awful speedway meeting on a dry and dusty track. Either have it in the evening, or move it to another track
cityrebel
Apart from the delays, I didn't think it was too bad a meeting, but that might be down to how little I expect from speedway these days. On such a warm day the track was under watered from the start, with dust rising from heat 1. I tend to agree with you shads, maybe it's time this meeting was moved elsewhere. Panthers89
What did the Cradley fans actually do then?
Shadders
I was by the startline where there were about a dozen of em. Apart from cheering when James Sarjeant fell they were pretty quiet. Then it all kicked off in heat 20 when Max Clegg & Danny Halsey had a battle for first place. Nothing as bad as I've read from other meetings.
Panthers89
Apart from the cheering then when James fell, just passionate..... must be a real fine line between passionate and out of control then.
P T Preece
Well that was dusty on a lovely warm day in great sunshine, a couple of good races, I thought the reserve O`verge looked quite good, off the pace but seemed well in control of his bike none of this flapping about at the back. Halsey worthy winner and Worrell did well to come second as well, shame about Jacobs in the run off for third. Ive been to two meeting over the weekend involving Cradley and both have kicked off to some extent.
fentigers79
We were also at the start line with two children age 10 and 7 and the language some of the Cradley fans used towards Danny was disgusting the worst swear word ever and the venom one fan showed to a rye house fan in front of us was dripping from is mouth (literally) I actually think he wanted to fight

Shadders
Thanks for putting in some shaddersIt was only a few that were kicking off and one nutter in particular. I've no agenda with Cradley, so have no axe to grind
bruno
Thanks for that,it's only a very small minority but in the 5years we have been back there have been quite a few incidents. NTB
A small minority that could ruin it for the rest of us. There is only a small few of them but they are idiots!
P T Preece
You get them with every track, there are a couple of blokes that support the Brummies you wouldent want to stand next to at an away track, morans is the only word you can use in there case. we were stood next to a couple that know Dan Greenwood and are Heathens supporters and they were ok.
Guest
Hmmm! It looks as though Cradley and their fans have an image similar - but now long vanished - that Millwall and "their supporters" had in football? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millwall_Bushwackers You get them with every track, there are a couple of blokes that support the Brummies you wouldent want to stand next to at an away track, morans is the only word you can use in there case. we were stood next to a couple that know Dan Greenwood and are Heathens supporters and they were ok. You must have missed the trouble at wembley when Millwall played Wigan in 2013. Definitely not vanished, and why would it. It is a problem within society rather than any particular team or sport.
