SCB
Last 2 Elite League Eastbourne meetings? Or still a chance they will continue in 2015? There more chance of Eastbourne being in the 2015 EL than them scoring a league point tonight

Aces51
Eastbourne have some decent Kirky Lane specialists as guests, Schlein and Wells usually do well and Steve Worrall should clean up for them at reserve. Â With these three they should do better than the usual Eastbourne away performances and the Aces 1-5 will have to make up the difference in the reserve points. Â Belle Vue have Lambert guesting for Nielsen.
ABS
Wonder if the regular team members will be embarking on an average reduction exercise tonight, as our wonderful sport rewards failure - the lower the average, the more attractive for next season. Who would want to bust a gut and run the risk of ruling themselves out of a team position for next year? After all, there is not much at stake tonight. Aces51
I can't see it happening anyway but with rolling average a few low score make little difference.
TheScotsman
Wish Stevie Worrall wasn't riding tonight. Â He had a big off at Edinburgh a week past Friday and so had to miss the meeting at Rye on the Saturday. He then rode Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday last week, had the Thursday off before the double header at Edinburgh last Friday, the home match against Newcastle on the Saturday (including another big off) and then the away match at Glasgow yesterday. Â And now another double header at BV. Â It's far too much for man and machines.

sussex bulldog
I won't be coming up. Not had a refund or acknowledgement from our last rain off. Just hoping there will be speedway at Arlington next year.
bellevueace
Some very good racing last night with a lot of passing, special mentions to scott nicholls and Michael palm toft who provided some excellent action, tofty has turned out to be the rider of the season, noticed a few eastie fans who made the journey so fair play to them, Eastbourne played their part in giving it a real go and deserved their point in the second match, I really hope they get sorted and come to the tapes for seasons to come would be a travesty should they be lost to the sport. Phil The Ace
Well what can u say about our captain fantastic tonight. Sublime, awesome, commited, a true captains performance and if we don't sign him next year it will be a travesty. His team rising skills is 2nd to non. Best performance from a Belle vue rider for a long time.  big pat on the back to belle vue speedway to. Despite the tape problems it ran smoothly. And the track man did a superb job. I bet that was the best double header anywhere anytime. Kept dust to a minimum in second meeting so a big well done to them. And wow. We even had rakers. What's that about.  Another small crowd though. They missed a treat and air play to the travelling eastbourne fans. Fantastic bunch of fans and all the best for your future  ZAGAR - ok first meeting and good 2nd meeting and out in a heat 15.  TOFT - OK first meeting and excellent 2nd meeting even if 1 of his races was gifted. He looked fast and determined out there and Deffo worth a team place next year. He improves every week and that is what matters  NICHOLLS - Sublime and everything more. Fantastic. Well done  WORRALL - up and down now. He's getting better but struggles in heat 14 where the track gets slicker  COOK - Good first meeting and good 2nd. Solid throughout  RESERVES - Poor again   Believe it or not I think I would try and keep the same top 5 if we have decent reserves. What do you a think

BluPanther
Â Â Believe it or not I think I would try and keep the same top 5 if we have decent reserves. What do you a think At least one good reserve is a must have to be in the play off mix. Aces top 5 is fine, but you were never going to make top 4 with your draft picks this year. Get that right and the Aces could well challenge in 2015...
ABS
MPT is worth a team place next season. Improved steadily all year and never gives up - if only he could gate. Scott should have come to BV years ago. He was one of the few riders who could give Crumpy a run for his money. Worrall could do with watching and learning from Scott when to drift wide and when to hold the line, but he hasn't developed on really. As for Cookie, riding a 5 is difficult in the new format, but I've seen enough improvement and aggression this season for him to merit another go, if he want's it. As for the reserves - only one comment, how did Morton come to pick Nielsen and Reade from what was available?
SPEEDY69
As others have said, the reserves have been a big factor in league placing this season, across all teams. As for the rest of the team, they have to improve away from home to stand any chance of being in the hunt for play-offs. There were some near misses for away points early in the season where Cook, Worrall & Zagar let the team down and Belle Vue have not had the good fortune to meet the patched up sides evident at present away from home as much as some other teams, but you can never predict or do anything about that. At home they have been very good and that should keep the Aces fans happy as the team looks to move into the new National Stadium and I really hope this goes even better than expected, for the sake of the sport in this country. B.V 72
A question i would like to ask Belle vue fans if Max Fricke wanted to ride for us next year(perhaps Cookie conections draw of pending new stadium etc who knows) would you swap him for M P Toft (i presume his average would fit as he was a guest for Toft last week). For me Toft has had a great season but i cant see him getting much better where as Fricke seems as though he has a lot more potential to improve. So add him to our present top 4 and add Steve Worrall at reserve and i think we would do a lot better next year.Thoughts please Edited September 17, 2014 by B.V
