cityrebel
Tomorrow evening sees the last team event of the season at the launch pad, it could be a tight meeting. Will it be the last ever league match at rye or will uncle lens new look rockets return next year. No doubt there will be a lot of rumours over the coming months. mudflaps
speaks volumes the 13th of September and the season is over for Rye House - I cannot imagine the Ace of Herts being revived this season...

I doubt that we'll ever see it again. The NLRC has already been confirmed as the final meeting, with no meeting the week before.
Shadders
Would be nice to finish the home league campaign with a win, but I saw Scunny last Tuesday and they look tasty. I'm gonna numb the pain with some farmhouse cider with a few friends and have a start line party.... Sod it!! If anything I can celebrate my first 100% league attendance at Rye House since I started following them in 1985 Edited September 12, 2014 by Shads

Alan_Jones
It'll be good to see Kasper Lykke back, but tough for him riding at 2. Scorpions using R/R for David Howe who's away World long tracking.
Brian
Eddie looked very fast and sharp guesting for Plymouth tonight, racing to a 4 ride paid maximum. If he carries that over to tomorrow, that only leaves 5 more to sort out.
steven101
Making the trip to this one from eastbourne for a change, looking forward to some good speedway and good fish and chips for what is my last meeting of the season
westhamboy66
Missing this as I'm down in Morizes watching the World Long track, hope we finish with a win, a real depressing season, wonder if Len will thank the faithful supporters or knock them again in the programme. Amazing that the season is over at both my local tracks before mid September a sign of the times since the play offs were introduced another reason why Sky has ruined our sport. lucifer sam
I am going tonight, but don't care too much what happens in the meeting, as long as the Scunny boys stay safe. Low-key meeting ahead of some much bigger ones. All the best Rob Edited September 13, 2014 by lucifer sam
thrillpool
Well here I am at the Racetrack of Dreams for the final time this year. The fish looks awful, there's no curry sauce and 'Those Magnificent Men...' Is booming away over the tannoy. On the plus side, they've still got some mushy peas remaining from the industrial sized drum I donated a few weeks ago. The winner of the raffle, a pink ticket apparently, has claimed their prize which includes the stadium, the promotional licence and John Sampford. 12-6 to the home side after 3 heats and the atmosphere is electric!

Bagpuss
Scunny are a Jekyll and Hyde team and rarely seem comfortable on the tighter tracks.
Shadders
So the curtain comes down on a dismal season, but at least we signed off with a convincing win.Scunthorpe were generally rubbish, can't believe it's the same side I saw hammer Berwick on Tuesday. Babs had a poor night in the refs box, making a hash of heat 14 when Auty clearly impeded Olly twice on the run to the first bend. The first time she called them back, but the second time she let it go even though they looked identical. No rider of the season presentation in the bar afterwards for the first time that I can remember. A quick two minutes on the track at the end was deemed sufficient.Disappointing, but we were on our way to the Rye Pub by then anyway, where the atmosphere is better and the bar better stockedIt's not all bad news though. Silver was pleased to announce we may be hosting the MDL final.... Whoop-de-doo Edited September 14, 2014 by Shads
Oafski
Perhaps the Scorpions were saving themselves for the play offs but you can only beat what's put in front of you and this was the biggest win of the season. Really hope the lads can carry this over to this afternoon at Peterborough and end the season on a high as they started it. I was very impressed with Edward Kennett's speech to the fans at the end of the meeting.
