Sienna Ryan
You and he got together and multiplied. Regards. Alan. Can I ask why I am being included in this? I actually find the comments of some of you on here quite hurtful. If yourself and Champion2010 or whoever he may be want to play these silly games (which do ruin the enjoyment of the forum for those of us who come here to share the sport) then why do you feel the need to drag other people in to it? Luckily not everybody is the same on this thread
fliss44
Back to the meeting. Why does Bomber rarely show his face when one of his riders has fallen and is down on the track? This happened yet again tonight. Surely this is a part of a captain's role?
abbo
Despite my posts about DH I must congratulate the stadium staff and the referee for concluding the meeting well within the given hours. It shows it can be done, can I ask that the same attitude applies to all meetings at Brandon ie Storm meetings and you would be amazed how much happier the fans are when the meeting is conducted in the manner it was tonight. Congratulations on the team tonight and hope there is a chance of winning the Elite League. We still have a problem with the Ben Barker situation and it must be resolvedbefore the Playoffs . I heard Robho say tonight that he wanted to ride for Bees but there was no contact with him until he had agreed to ride for Eastbourne. Surely if we want to win the EL we should be planning well in advance in the event of a fear if a rider not being fit/unavailable for a meeting in a few day's time like it was today, at 1pm it was guest/RRNA not good enough, it's all about planning for a victory. Well done to Mick Horton and his staff for the swift presentation. Just checked tonight's Premier scores and Workington had RR for Howarth how does this work?. I'm baffled. T.N.T.
Well I travelled down to Brandon thinking it may be an interesting night with Robbo and Schlein stepping in for Eastbourne despite watching them on Monday offer little resistance to Wolverhampton ...... next time I will not be making the same mistake and stood there thinking I am glad I'm not an Eagles fan watching this. Rory Schlein was the only Eagles rider worthy of mentioning really and had they have used r/r instead, Eastbourne probly wouldn't have reached 30 in either meeting as they were simply out classed, out gated and pure and simply put to the knife as the visitors failed heat after heat. Bjarne Pedersen didn't look interested and much the same can be said the same as Joonas Kylmakorpi while Timo Lahti was battling and had one good ride coming from the back to win and Stuart Robson was the same getting little reward for his efforts. At reserve they were overpowered with Adam Ellis starting off well but then nothing and Max Clegg getting better as the night went on but still not capale of beating an opponent. Wolves went to Swindon with a complete team of replacements (Perry in for Morris) with a team resembling a Premier League team that featured two Eastbourne riders and scored more than these who have a former GP star and a multi World Champion and any Eagles fan that travelled to watch this must feel cheated by the efforts put in. Next season keep Wodward and possibly Lahti but build a team that wants to ride and can do so on more than just one track. ps; Well Done every Bees rider who all did rgeir jobs and it clearly shows that Bomber is a league rider through and through and should concentrate on that than the GP's
BritPete
The most boring job in the world last night must have been the cameraman at Coventry speedway. After 30 heats of that, he probably entered a monastery to get some excitement. Edited September 13, 2014 by BritPete

The Bees had priority over Kyle Howarth as our fixture was in the fixture list first - Workington had a facility to cover his absence.

Barker is hoping to be back really soon but if not then I hope we book Fricke in advance for our visit to Belle Vue. If Eastbourne use him for their meetings on Monday then we won't be able to use him under the 8 day rule
lucifer sam
A slightly tedious night of speedway. The first meeting started off not too bad, but it got a bit boring by the end. I thought Eastie's guests would make them competitive, but it didn't happen. The odd bit of entertainment, such as Josh Auty bursting past Bjarne Pedersen in the second meeting, while Bjarne was wearing the black & white. Oh, and the Poo Boy doing his clown impression in the closing stages. All the best Rob Edited September 13, 2014 by lucifer sam
Bee 26
Fricke should be in for Monday, can see Barker resting shoulder for another week
lucifer sam
I thought it was stupid to let Eastbourne have Robbo and we should have used him? 2 less riders so far and Auty has outscored him Robbo was crap. Glad Cov weren't using R/R, because I'd have owed you a sausage roll All the best Rob

philfromcov
thought it was a good night, why cant all meetings be run like that the second one done and dusted 1 hour 10 mins! it makes it much more enjoyable if the heats rattle through. thanks to all the efforts, thanks to Eastbourne for making it so easy. when was the last time they even looked like winning away? T.N.T.
At least on September 26th Bees will gain the advantage of Wolverhampton giving them more of a test ..... Rory back again ? .... Ricky back in the Old Gold ? ....... Jacob fit again, PK had his Sanatagen and Lasse on the up can see it being a lot closer. ............ Then we can go to the club shop, buy a Storm flag and support them against the Spoons
Gresham78
Congratulations to the Bees and commiserations to the Eagles however this was a pretty sad evening for the sport again in this country. For any Eastbourne fans who may have made the trip up from the south coast how do you get behind a team with 4 guests in it? I'm not blaming the Eagles promotion, its not their fault they've got riders injured but teams turning up with multiple guests is becoming more and more common. Anybody new to the sport (or prospective sponsors for that matter) would find it incomprehensible that a team takes to the track with more guests than its own riders. Absences are too frequent in the sport over here now and its not helped with the likes of Jepsen Jensen and Piotr Pawlicki showing utter contempt for their EL teams and just not bothering to turn up. IMO its a major problem that's contributing to the demise of the sport over here. No wonder the media takes so little interest in the sport nowadays. Don't know what the answer is but certainly having more British riders would help. I think the fast track scheme is a move in the right direction but it definitely needs refining and adjustment for next season.
abbo
Neil thanks for explaining how Howarth was riding for Bees, I thought I knew a fair amount about the rules of Speedway, this makes it all the more baffling.

thecoombdog
How many Coventry meetings have you been to? Howarth and Harris are always out when somebody crashes, Harris always has been Ive heard rumours the team spirit is shot at Coventry after the beating at Blunsdon on Monday. Apparently several team members blame Harris for the defeat which has allowed us into the play offs so why should he run on the track to see how they are.
