IainB
I have been quick enough to come on here and have moan when I've been to matches with no real racing, so I have to say how good the racing was last night, lots of close tussles and some real passes. As a neutral I really enjoyed this match, started on time, no delays and great racing, and that's all I really want from a speedway match, simple really
Teromaafan
I notice Mads in ranting on facebook at the fans getting on his back (you'll see I've defending him form them on here already) but does he do the same when the fans are supporting him, cheering him and giving him praise the rest of the time? Like hell he does. If you want to praise and adulation you have to expect the stick too.[/ His performances of late actually look like he has fans on his back, with their weight obviously slowing him down and affecting his balance entering and leaving bends. mrcts
To be fair apart from the Swindon match the racing has been pretty good the last 4 or 5 home meetings,I never thought i would actually say those words because the track had a well deserved reputation for poor racing....i can't get my head around why it has changed so much for the better?
lionking
I think the racing has improved purely by better class of rider
weatherwatcher
From what I have seen of the track the track has chaged quite a bit these last few weeks. More dirt on the track,, it has not been rolled has heavy either also the bends at both ends have had the banking raised, so it seems that it making some difference. Maybe next year with a settled team and one that stays there from the start of the season until the end and a good team put together from the off, we may just see the Lions finish at least half way in the league table. With the loss of Birmingham and the loss of Eastbourne by the sound of things then there sre going to be quite a few extra riders to choise from. Pederson for one, that is if Jason fails to get his visa, because there is talk already on the problems getting them for the Aussie riders already. I hope that they just manage to put a team together that will do us proud.
superguest
I don't know if any Leicester fans sawMads' crash at Monmore a few weeks ago. I was sure his season was done. Think the crashes and a long season have probably took its toll!
Leicester Hunter
I am afraid that Nrrie Allen was well within his right to call Mads down. In private, yes, but to do it in public just shows how unprofessional Allen is. I was at Leicester the night Martin Rogers delivered his infamous 'Several members of the team you saw tonight you will not be seeing next season' speech. Those of us in the crowd knew who he was talking about, but being the professional he was, Rogers mentioned no names. The individuals concerned were spoken to directly behind closed doors, which is as it should be. Given the team manager's general attitude, it's hardly surprising Leicester are stuck at the foot of the EL and will collect the wooden spoon. Frankly, if he's still there next season, the Lions won't get any worthwhile riders to turn out for them.

I don't think his words towards his riders all season have been very supportive so Hunter I would echo your thoughts regarding potential riders wanting to come to BP. Surely if your the team manager you have to back your riders publicly even if your not happy with them . Most people give old Leonard Rossiter at the Robins a hard time but he knows how to get the best out of his subjects
