Let's get this one up and running then.

Hopefully another comfortable win for the Heathens but there is sure to be some good entertainment as the Storm are the only team to beat us this year and their lads always put on a good show.

Heathens to win by 20 and make the second leg an enjoyable night out for the Green and White Brigade.

Whatever the outcome I expect the winner of this semi to go on and win the Final comfortably.

'Ommer 'em Cradley!!

The second best team in the league and we go and win by 35points...Glad ive had a season ticket as on the gate would not be good value at all to watch these ommerings everyweek. The extra meetings from the KOC and The Play Offs, works out to be around £6.50 a meeting if we go all the way in the Cup and League.

The program notes tonight hinted greatly about the need for the step up and Patch himself admited in his coloum that we have out grew the NL. For the first time in a very very very long while was the issue of the our own track brought up in Starkes page where he said that the management team really were doing the best they can to find us a home.

Ive stated previously that I would more than be happy to stay in the NL if...we didnt build such a good side (But then whats the point) or the league was able to be closer but how they would do that is imposable because the benfits of riding for the Heathens outweights any other team. Once again tonight the riders were all given cheques for I think the 4th time this season.

PL would make the majoirty happy, but these folks are not used to watching a loosing side and I would hate to see some of there reactions if we on the other end of these drummings, thats one of the issue that worries because some of our fans can take it a bit to far as stated by the club after the visit to coventry at the start of the season!

A massive winter ahead, one I look forward to greatly!

I think both the heathens and kent, crowd wise are ready to move up. With Devon looking very unlikely to run next season, a few new teams would be needed to make the NL viable.

I agree Cradley and Kent both need to move up.

If Kent get the go ahead to extend curfew that should be the chance to move up.

Great performance from the lads yet again last night. I hope Danny Phillips isn't too badly hurt but I think he was suffering from pain in the pelvic area. A very nasty high speed accident - get well soon Danny!

As far as the crowd reaction to a possible run of defeats at Premier League level goes, I share the concern. I think fans would be prepared to put up with defeats if we had the right set of riders in the team and by that I mean riders who have previously represented the club at NL level.

It would be great to see the likes of Lewis Blackbird, Ashley Morris, Steve Worrall, Paul Starke, Kyle Newman, Adam Roynon, Tom Perry, Max Clegg and many others represent Cradley at PL level and I think fans would back them as we know them well and they are all great lads who have demonstrated a commitment to the club.

Track seven guys who have no association, however, and I think there would be a quick adverse reaction from some quarters.

Contrary to popular belief, however, there are plenty of Cradley fans who have experienced the bad times as well as the good and I would have no doubt about their loyalty.

Cradley is a great club with a proud history but we need to look at the future now and the PL would provide the challenge that we need to progress and get back to the very top (which is, of course, where we belong :t: ).

Yes agree with all thats been said with regards one or two Hotheads in the Cradley support, we have NO god given right to success, and i remember the times when if Cradley finished out of the Bottom 3 it was regarded as a good season.

If we do go PL and its time now, even without our own track, then if we go along the route of British riders, with maybe Aussie or Americans then i think the supporters will back them, but if we Track riders who are absent more often than not, then Im pretty sure the supporters will NOT put up with it, and will let the riders know in NO uncertain terms.

Trouble with going for ex cradley riders is that most are pl reserves at best.a couple could be classed as second strings but I don't reckon there's many who could be genuine heat leaders and definitely no one is an out and out number 1.the difference between nl and pl is massive.must admit I'm a bit fed up of nl but it's not my decision or money to gamble.interesting times ahead

Is there talk of Kent moving into the PL or was it just a suggestion based on the crowd?

I think the moment we have a sensible curfew date the plan is to go up the leagues. Our planning hearing is next Wednesday with many of the councilors attending the British under 19 championship next Monday. So let's hope they enjoy the evening (which they have allowed us to start later and given us an extra hour on our curfew for)

I think the thing to remember with most of the lads on my list is that they are still improving and will, hopefully, continue to do so at PL level. They may not start off as heatleaders but most have the potential to get there given a little time and patience.

Patience is the key and I agree that some Cradley fans don't have a great deal of it. I just think they will cut more slack to riders they already know from past performances will be trying their best for the Club rather than an import who is just here to pick the money up.

Winding the clock back I think one of the most satisfying aspects of being a Heathens fan is when you look at the World Champions we produced all of whom had barely been heard of outside their native countries when they started out with us and just look where they ended up (and in one case is still going strong).

Anyway we are speculating that there will be three Leagues next year. My guess is there may not be as the Elite League looks vulnerable on a number of fronts. Wonder what Mr Hancock's doing next year? Never say never!

Worrall, Newman, Roynon and Starke would be a good 2,3,4 and 6. Just leaves a 1,5 and 7 to be found. You have a few options in your team this year for the number 7 jacket - probably Clegg. Leaving only a top 2 to be found.

Maybe Nick Morris with his "connections" and a new assessed rider to look to built up an asset base. Might not get all of them but it would probably have more of a Cradley/Dudley flavor than some clubs will have in March with there 4 or 5 team changes.
