Totally agree, though I suppose it keeps the happy clapper section happy. Having a joke is fine, all for it, but this one has become tiresome and quite frankly boring.
Goodiepatchie
it's a 'Dick Barrie' thing calling Workington the 'comics' But then he isn't on here  Personaly think it is insulting to keep referring to Workington as the Comics it lowers the high standard that Berwick Promotion set !  Totally agree, though I suppose it keeps the happy clapper section happy. screm
as are most of Mr Barrie's insults to rival teams  I`m sure we`ll be getting a visit from the forum police quite soon, as for Mr Barrie he can reply for himself, from whatever username he chooses. topsoil
If the League Cup meeting was anything to go by this meeting should be good. If memory serves right Berwick only just scraped a win that night. Be good to see Berwick round off a successful campaign with a home win. Weather bright as well. jenga
are the GOOD people of Berwick involved in the YES/NO vote for Scotlands independence.
YAMYAMBANDIT
are the GOOD people of Berwick involved in the YES/NO vote for Scotlands independence. We are in England, we have no vote. I just hope the money that presently is given to Scotland under 'The Barnett Formula', is re-directed to places like Berwick if the vote is Yes. Could Border towns like Berwick become Boom Towns if it is Yes, because of companies re-locating South of the Border. Lord Lucan
Hope Comets will give this a good go, big track so should be well suited, dont think we'll get much change from the Bandits but I'd like to think we're no worse opponents than a 50-40 score!! YAMYAMBANDIT
Â Aye, but you rely on a Scottish born & based Promoter, and your landlords ,Berwick Rangers F.C., exist by playing in Scottish League 2. Reliance does not come into it, just take what owner we have, part of the ownership George Heppburn is local and English. Berwick Rangers due to geography plays in the Scottish League again not by reliance, as it could easily play in the Northern League system. Shielfield Park is owned by Northumberland County Council on lease to Berwick Rangers Supporters Club, now this is where reliance comes into the equation, as Berwick Bandits rely on Berwick Rangers Supporters Club to allow them to ride at Shielfield Park,
crescent girl
Historically, Bandits have virtually always had a Scottish ethic, though. Â Nearly all the owner-promoters down through the years, the Taylor family, the Fairbairns, Peter Waite and the Andersons are Scottish, only Terry Lindon and Mike Hopes were English. Â To tease the question further, an independent Scotland might request "all lands north of the Tweed" be returned to their control as part of the discussion to follow next week's referendum. Â Leaving Tweedmouth in England, of course!
