The Play Offs look like they will be decided over the next few days, The current situation is

Mildenhall are at Home to Young Stars today, and Kent are away to Young Stars on Wednesday, Coventry qualify no matter what happens.

However the problem is Devon, they have ridden only 3 home fixtures and will not ride any more until after the cut off date, The NL co-ordinator is sitting on the fence and hoping this can be decided on track.. No Chance, Mildenhall will win today, and Young Stars will win on Wednesday.

The Co-ordinator will either have to upset Kent or Kings Lynn, either All home fixtures by Devon are expunged or they are allowed, personally there is NO option it has to be all home are expunged, because Kings Lynn have not had the opportunity to ride there, yeah tough on Kent who won at Devon, but its highly likely Young Stars would have won there also, altogether an unsatisfactory conclusion to the NL season.

Erm we had to fight tooth and nail to get our "kent" fixture away to Devon. They tried cancelling it. Now my understanding is the only way the result can be voided is if Devon were thrown out of the league or withdrawn from the league. Any other removal of results completely against any published rules i can find. I believe 2 seasons ago Iow missed out because they did not get all their fixtures done before cut off It would be totally illegal and immoral to change the goal posts in the last week of the season.

Kent have managed to ride at Devon twice this season so some responsibility must fall on the away teams to get their meetings on.

Maybe King's Lynn could invite Devon along for the second half on Wednesday, and stage Devon's meeting themselves. That would be one solution.

In 2004, a Peterborough vs Oxford meeting was held at Arena Essex, to get it in for the play-off deadline.

I'm sure about the same time Stoke hosted a NL meeting in late October for possible Peterborough, maybe Mildenhall. I'm sure one of the aware NL fans will remember. I'm also certain it was Peterborough who won the league as a result.

Yes, it was a double-header mopping up a Mildenhall home fixture and Newport home fixture if I recall correctly. Around the year 2000.

Peterborough won the league in a last-header decider - 45-44?

But another precedent to stagings meetings on neutral tracks if they can't be held on the home team's track.

Bear in mind, Stoke ride on the same day as Devon, so that instantly cancels out a chunk of available time. Add in the fact that Devon can't race on the nights Plymouth do and there are very few dates remaining!
