Kings Lynn V Lakeside Tues 16th Sept 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

This meeting could follow the same pattern as last night at Coventry if we aren't careful..... let's hope the second strings can step up to the plate. Need big scores from Schlein, Nicholls and Kerr too. If S Lambert beats Morley three times he has done his job IMO.

I believe Rob Lyon has now got the biggest job he ever had to do , in turning this team into winners. Motivation,, Team spirit,, Togetherness, Kick up the arse,, He will have to do it all to win tonight. Anything but max points is unthinkable........

COME ON YOU STARS :t::t::t::drink::drink::cheers::cheers:

the biggest issues here will be the form of R Lambert and Porsing .. both are more than capable of beating anyone around Kings Lynn, but have had various hiccups recently .. tonight these 2 NEED to be the engine room of the team especially as they will be having extra rides too.

the Lakeside team does look strong, but that's on paper

I find it amazing there are no available guests!? As far as I'm aware only other speedway is in Sweden tonight so only a few missing for that. Have Lynn upset someone or have the promoters of other play-off teams banned their riders from guesting (but as North was guesting for Poole last night I doubt its the latter....!)?

Having said that no-one can replace Niels anyway, Nicholls just about covers Kenneth, so R/R is probably not the worst option as long as EVERYONE pulls their weight.

3pts tonight means that if Poole get a 4t win at Leicester (almost a dead cert) we will need at least a draw at BVue next week!!

There you go, it's easier already, stars to get 55 no problem.

Another Shovlaresque post.

Stars have gone above 55 points 3 times this season once against a depleted Coventry team, once against Eastbourne who are known poor travellers and once against Birmingham who like Coventry had 3 riders missing, and we were pretty much at full strength for all three.

I hope your right,but I will be happy with a 49-41 scoreline

Ok a bit ott but should be a easy win, hopefully they will be testing equipment like Havvy claimed the bees were last night.

This is my feelings at every meeting. They seem capable of having 2 good rides than 2 bad ones. With each of the 1 to 5 having an extra ride tonight, they want to look to be scoring double figures each.

PS . Cant believe we couldn't find a guest to ride. RR surely is a last resort........

Testing for what?

This match will be hard for Stars without our top two (thanks to the powers that be and their stupid 'no replacements after end of August' rule! )

Havvy said they were trying different things because the result was meaningless to them so i was hoping that the stars may do the same although the meeting is far from meaningless for Kings lynn, Lyons motivational skills will be put to the test in this one.

I have always thought the rule for not being able to replace injured riders after the cut off date was stupid, not the only rule that is stupid though!!

That's what I love about this year's play offs. Got the best 3 team managers in the country in them IMO and Havelock. Think this years could be the best yet.

As for tonight, both teams are scattered with inconsistent riders. Could go either way.

You would have to expect KL to be really up for it though whilst Lakeside have little to race for.
