Kings Lynn V Lakeside Tues 16th Sept 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Very good performance from the team this evening, even allowing for how poor Lakeside were. Watt an embarassment up until heat 13. Porsing excellent on decent kit and the skipper the best I've seen him all season.

Thought there was some decent action tonight on a slicker surface but Lynn nowhere near the racetrack it once was unfortunately.

R Lambert needs to learn to gate if he wants to get anywhere in the sport. Made two good ones tonight and was never troubled but gave himself too much to do in his others. S Lambert full of effort as always.

On this performance kings lynn should make the play off final as long as pick coventry.

Teams queuing up to pick Coventry just now. You will just have to hope Poole don't get all 4 points tomorrow and you get at least a two points at Belle Vue next Monday. Otherwise, you'll get Swindon.

Well that was very encouraging!

Maximum effort from everybody and Niklas, Rory and Lewis excelling. In fact Niklas should've had a max if Nicholls hadn't got in his way (twice!) in his 4th ride.

So now its up to Leicester tomorrow to restrict Poole, but I won't hold my breath - expecting the league to be all sorted at BVue next week and hopefully all Stars doing the same as tonight!:blink:

Thought Nicholls put loads of effort in but he just isn't fast enough around Lynn any more. Certainly prevented Porsing's max as I think Niklas would have caught Lawson in heat 8 had he been given the run at him. Really hope we aren't having to rely on Scott come play off time with the best will in the world.

Love the spirit in the team. Big job done. Well done Rob.

The team are back on the rise. Robert to hit top form, Kenny to continue where he left off, A bit of luck going our way and it could be our trophy. Come on you Stars.

Spot on. Probably the most committed performance I've seen from the stars for some time. Yeah, I know it was only Lakeside, but we were on it from the start and didn't allow them any chance to get back init. The mind boggles on what could've been achieved with a full team.

The big comment made in the above post is LUCK. If we can get our share, then I'm sure we give anyone a run for their money.

In my mind, nobody is good enough to replace Niels, but Scotty never lets us down.........

You can pick davey watt if you like, I would have Scotty anytime, he is one of the better choices available

A thoroughly convincing performance by the Stars last night, massive well done to the boys who all rode well. Special praise for Porsing who rode like a man possessed!

Also, I think that every child should be given an air horn on entry in future, they were made cheaper last night and defiantly added to a great atmosphere - when the 5-1's were raining down the noise was pretty loud in the Royal Box!

Not the biggest crowd though, which to me is disappointing although everyone had there own reasons/restrictions to contend with, I'm sure come play off time there will be a bumper crowd even though it's on Sky. I hope Buster doesn't put ticket prices up though, I'm sure he won't. In fact, IF we make it to the final, I'd DROP the prices so as to ensure a partizan atmosphere. And what better 'hook' to get new fans interested - a big match, on TV, big crowd etc - they'd be back next season!

normally semi final prices stay the same but what EL finals I've been to expect at least a £2 hike on admission prices

Poole Administration Error

Someone at Poole forgot to tell agent Watt that Poole were already in the Play Offs and didn't need him to perform like a novice NL rider for his first 3 rides. ;)

The message obviously got through in time for heat 13! :t:

Not sure if Watt was on a different bike in heat 13.

Serious question would Simon Lambert get any more speed if he kept his ar*e on his seat around the bends.I don't know if anyone else notices but he don't put it back down until he is nearly out of the bend.Would you lose traction by not having your weight down on your machine?.I would assume so.

Rambo Lambo has never had a very typical style. I'm sure you are probably right about his a**e - also has the effect of him drifting out on the bends and not being able to keep a very tight line. Having said that he can certainly mix it up with the best of them at times...

Exactly I think he has plenty of speed, but as you say seems to drift.I would assume it might be like sliding on ice but if he sat down he would get more traction that would stop him drifting to wide.

Simon has this style probably because he is quite tall for a speedway rider. I will show my age by saying it has some resemblance to Barry Briggs when he first came to the UK.

I see that Kent have a play off match next Monday so will Simon be riding for them instead of the Stars.?

Also noted that Coventry are the first Aces opponents of Monday so hopefully Stars may get Chris Harris afterwards.
