Leicester V Swindon 6 Sept

It has been the same all year long for the Lions losing Josh Bates and Simon Stead most home meetings and it is time that the EL had the say over the riders instead of the PL it is a stuppid rule to say the least

With Double Up riders. Everybody wants the say

I hope when then next AGM comes along they somehow manage to sort all this swopping and changing from team to team.

Surely it can't be that hard, with 2 teams 1 EL and 1 PL to sort out fixtures at the start of the season, so they don't clash with the other teams.

I am sure that the EL team should get preference to the PL side. How come the PL side get the riders as thier assets. If a rider is as they say a self employed worker (rider) then surely it is up to the rider who the take the preference to ride for on a said night.

Especially when they ride for the EL team on the race night they always race on and the PL side change thier meeting to that same night. It must be down to riding for the club that you have signed for on thier race night. Not be expected to go to ride for the lower league when the race night clashes with your main teams night.

There has been far to much of this guest rider and RR this year, then having to have riders from the lower leagues to take thier place as has happened on a couple of occations this year at the Lions.

You should be able to see the same team of riders every meeting unless they sre injured. Hope they just manage to make some real sense out of 2015, but I doubt it very much. Also I hope that if the FTR scheme carries on next year that they can also sort out a proper selection or young riders that are all evenly matched instead of what we have seen happen this year, where 6 or 7 riders are far infront of the others and are scoring double points most meetings. They should have been given the chance to have been given a full team place and not riden at reserve, as they are way above the standard of riding in a reserve place.

What a joke that Brendan is our best option & the reserve races tonight will be "wobblers" City.

Count yourself lucky that somebody is available. Coventry had to race with no reserve in place of garrity in their win against Kings Lynn due to nobody being available.

That said I agree it's crazy that a rider high on the draft has to be replaced with somebody so low.

To be fair Eastbourne have been f*cked over with their replacement for Blackbird tonight and Coventry have been a few times so its not just us. The whole thing is just a complete farce and will be decided on who's wobbler wobbles the least!

And yes we are so lucky a guest is available who will score 0 effectively meaning we are only riding with one reserve anyway. Wish Cov fans would stop harping on about 1 reserve when the one who was banned from riding would have scored f all anyway!!!

Do Eastbourne have a replacement now tonight for Blackbird as Benji Broke his finger last night riding for Poole. They could end up having to use no reserve in his place which is terrible.

Hopefully next year if still the same system, they will find a better way of doing it as no disrespect to any rider on the draft but how can somebody who only just made the draft really replace Blackbird who's 2nd on it or Worrall who's 5th?

Biggest sham so far was the fact Coventry were made to race with no reserve to replace Garrity who is 3rd due to the fact nobody was available and although BSPA and Phil Morris sanctioned the use of a NL rider lower than any on the draft to replace him, King's Lynn preferred Coventry to ride without any.

Steve Worrall was injured last night at Edinburgh, neck and shoulder injuries, has to be a major doubt

for the next two or three matches!

Its strange how there doesn't seem to be a lot of news about Worrall anywhere. The Edinburgh site had him as scoring 12 then not long later they replaced it with the fact he fell but no information on how he was.

They have said he should take him place tonight

Swindon could end up like Coventry racing with only 1 reserve

ROBINS boss Alun Rossiter is still searching for a guest replacement for Steve Worrall ahead of tonight’s clash with Leicester.

Worrall is due to be riding for Premier League Edinburgh this evening at Rye House, with the Monarchs believing the St Helens-based rider will be fit to compete despite pulling out of their clash with Sheffield last night following a spill in his opening ride.

With Worrall now down to fifth in the fast track draft ranking list Rossiter’s options are more limited than before, made worst by the fact original guest Brendon Johnson pulled out late last night.

The Robins boss is now franticly searching for a replacement.

"Obviously it's frustrating for us because it's a big meeting for Swindon and we need to go there looking for points," he said.

"But we will go there and give it our best, the boys are in a confident mood and we know the prize is a place in the play-offs."

LEICESTER: Jason Doyle, Danny King, Mads Korneliussen, Nicolai Klindt, Simon Stead, Josh Bates, Max Clegg.

SWINDON: Peter Kildemand, Nick Morris, Simon Gustafsson, Dakota North, Troy Batchelor, Guest TBC, Nathan Greaves.

Still short!!!

We may as well ride with 6 to make a point. The replacement will be so bad that it wont make any difference to whether we win or lose so may as well highlight the stupidity of it all.

So Swindon have two possible problems tonight, no reserve to replace Steve at the moment and has Killer got a decent bike after last night.

Just read on http://swindonlinksport.com/subcategory/swindon-speedway that Troy has not ridden at this track before, I do not think that Killer has either.

terrible situation to be put in

When Coventry Bees asked the bspa permission to use Priest as a guest and add him to draft, some people said well there must have been somebody free from draft but I think what people forget is not only do they race for other teams or already guesting for others or may be injured but also these lads have jobs away from speedway to earn a living so that also rules a lot of the lower league riders out. Going to be really hard with so many fixtures on at the same time

If we are struggling then Eastbourne must be too. 2 teams going for the play off's and both could be a man short!!! Only in speedway!!

There are 9 meetings today 6 of which are PL where your reserves are probably going to come from probably a bit extraodinary. Workington have a double header.

Although a squad sysrem for 1-5 maybe difficult. It's certainly an option for for the FTRD next year. If it carries on next year
