TMW
Courtesy of http://leicesterlions.co/leicester-v-swindon-preview-2/ Leicester v Swindon Preview Its another mouth-watering fixture at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium on Saturday as Leicester race against the Swindon Robins. The visitors are chasing a place in the semi-finals of the Elite League play-offs and need to keep winning as there are three other clubs all with an equal chance. The Rapid Solicitors Lions have run into winning form and have not been beaten at home since June, coincidently against Swindon and Norries boys will not want to lose for a second time against them.Jason Doyle is due back into the side following a dislocated shoulder and Danny King a Team GB World Cup rider has been named to replace the injured Krzysztof Buczkowski. Swindon are led by Troy Batchelor, the captain of the visitors and a Grand Prix rider. Batchelor forms a potent spearhead with Peter Kildemand who was runner-up in the Danish Individual Championship Final last month and is second on the leader-board in the European Championship. With Nick Morris and Dakota North, two Leicester track specialists in their midst, Saturdays fixture is adding up to be another intriguing contest in the making.TeamsLeicester: 1. Jason Doyle, 2. Danny King, 3. Mads Korneliussen, 4. Nicolai Klindt, 5. Simon Stead, 6. Josh yBates and 7. Max CleggSwindon: 1. Peter Kildemand, 2. Nick Morris, 3. Simon Gustafsson, 4. Dakota North, 5. Troy Batchelor, 6. Guest for Steven Worrall tbc and 7. Nathan Greaves It's always entertaining when the Rosco Babes are in town. If anything for the post match interview and good to see 6 Lions in the side but for the injured Buzz Edited September 4, 2014 by TMW
orion
Heading down for this but without Stevie and a guff to replace him I can only see a home win by about
A ORLOV
When these two met in June the only riders for Leicester who are riding this sat are the reserves and not a lot can be taken from the last score line of Leicester 45 Swindon 47. As Orion states the non availability of Steve Worrall is a major worry for the Robins. We will be lucky to get anything from this meeting.

weatherwatcher
Young Josh Bates can be good on the day, if he can only stop acting like a kamikazi rider and slow it down a bit. He must end up coming off the bike, nore times than he has managed to get round all 4 laps. I think I have seen him in 1 meeting where he raced really well and came away with a good score. The rest speak for themselves. 3 F 1 F F F and it is the same most meetings. He has got to calm down a bit and then he will be a rider that is hard to beat. Can't wait to see this one, my hopes are for a home victory but not holding my hopes to high. But the Lions are doing really well at home and the team are now beging to get it together. Shame that we have not got Buzz would have been nice to see the full team out on Saturday. Hope King has got his gatting boots on, he will need it.

mdmc82
Have either of you seen Greaves away???? Was shocking on Monday guesting for Belle Vue against Coventry. Not at the same races. That said its not the easiest track.
foreverblue
This will be close, swindons top five are better than leicesters and if the could get a good guest for worrall they should win but if they dont they will lose, its a shame meetings are decided by who has the best guest
Bagpuss
This is another good example of the rank fixture planning this year.....the EL has two Saturday tracks and the PL three yet they've managed to schedule Swindon and Edinburgh away meetings on the same Saturday out of the 26 odd Saturdays in the whole season meaning no Worrall for Swindon at Leicester. Utterly bonkers.

Thats how limited our options are!!! The whole thing is a joke. Coventry was a joke either way last night. Even if they had tracked 2 reserves one of them would have been so sub standard compared to Garrity its not fair.. They got away with it because they were at home against a faltering side without their number 1 but thats not the point. Now it will probably cost us on Saturday. The elite should have priority. Its a lot easier to replace riders in the PL than it is to get decent replacements in the elite.

Look at Eastie on sat night having to use Compton for Blackbird complete joke .

Have to agree, the fast track system was supposed to help riders progress & as the PL were unwilling to participate in the scheme, why should they get priority?

Look at Eastie on sat night having to use Compton for Blackbird complete joke . Have to agree with everyone, the only point I can add is that most teams have suffered at some time or other with this. You'd just like to hope it balances out equally, but it certainly doesn't make it right. An EL re-think is most definitely in order.
weatherwatcher
It has been the same all year long for the Lions losing Josh Bates and Simon Stead most home meetings and it is time that the EL had the say over the riders instead of the PL it is a stuppid rule to say the least
