Lakeside V Poole (part 2) Friday 5th September.

Recommended Posts

So we resume with the hope of much better weather and a much better track this time around.

Lakeside have Summers in for Nilsson.

Poole have Kildemand and Woodward in for Ward and Pawlicki.

I think Poole should be worth at least a point this time!

May be more than one point as Killer scored 16 from 5 rides when Swindon were there, and a win or draw for Poole would help Swindon.

Kildermand is a worry been off form lately.

Even an off-form Kildemand is one of the best, possibly the best guestPoole could have got . Not exactly Wards standard but very good.. Woodward always seems to me to be riding above his ability. There is no doubt that he can put the points together at Lakeside but he always seems to me to be a crash waiting to happen. If he manages to hang on to his bike and not knock anyone else off theirs then he is more than capable of a decent points return.

the big question is what will Davey do. I like Davey and overall I think he has done a pretty good job at the club for the last three years but he does have this volatility that if something upsets him he flies off the handle and loses the plot.. I hope he turns in a performance that silences his critics but we'll have to see.

For me the key is not so much Pooles guests but the absence of Kim Nilsson. He is a much better rider this year and probably the best current EL rider on his average. His replacement, Aron Summers is a good bloke and probably as good if not better than most available guests but not quite the quality of KIm on his home track.

I think most Lakeside fans will be glad to see the back of this season but Poole are as good a side as any to send our season out with a decent match, whatever the result..

There will be plenty for the usual suspects to moan about, the Poole haters, the Jon Cook haters and the Davey Watt back stabbers will be ready to pounce whatever comes.

Good luck to the Hammers with their hopes of a play off place.

Can't see that Lakeside have any chance of the play offs given their last match is away to Kings Lynn.

Nilsson missing is a big plus for poole, Ward is a big minus and he is pretty excellent at Lakeside but kildermand should be a good guest, he hasn't got to do much to be an improvement on Bjarne!.

I am sure a decent crowd will be there in as much as this is the final home meeting but frankly after Monday's farce and no apology what so ever in the aftermath of those events i would not blame people for voting with their feet and staying away.

Would anyone revisit the same restaurant and order the same meal just five days after receiving terrible service?

Also this is the only Elite League match on the day so it is likely to be screened on Bet365 so its not like anyone will miss anything unless you have a sadistic love of driving on the M25

edited for terrible grammar

Any of them would be fine! Can't be worse than 4pts in 2 meetings.

Why can't we use rider replacement? Or let Kyle take some of their riders... Can't hurt!

Good luck if you are expecting big points from any of them.

RR would probably be better.

Scored 1,3,3,3,3,2 in Denmark tonight so should do ok

fb Killer back to his old form and scored 3,2,2,3 plus 2 bonus, so paid max against Coventry and was flying, so he should help Poole tomorrow.
