Totally agree grachan ! I was there and glad I went, nice warm evening, good atmosphere and all the Robins giving 100%. If they ride like that on Monday then look out Coventry. :t:

Not sure Batch gave 100% in every race. When he got out of the gate he was racing but in 2 heats when left in 3rd, he seemed unwilling to take any risk to get past an opponent & he did say himself, when interviewed at the end of the meeting "I seemed to be going through the motions at times tonight". Unlike PK who made superb moves in heat 10, to pass both opponents to get 2nd place! We need all the points we can get at present, in case it ends up with points difference at the cut off point.

Speedway is truly done for when a team turns up with 5 guests and rider replacement for someone they just sacked. :(

I feel sorry for any Wolves fans who turned up to support their team and discovered it was their fast track rider.

I thought speedway was bonkers when I followed my team but this is simply insane :)

Been a good week for farce what with the sky match Monday and this match last night.

I also think its insane, just amazing that everyone thinks every year the EL cannot get any worse and yet it does.

Don't get to cocky RR. We turned over KL last night with a five man team... ;)

Monday is guaranteed to be a cracker though. Play off rehearsal?

Monday scares me. I think we will struggle even to win, never mind gettting the 3 points we could really do with.

Your mission, Agent Andersen, should you choose to accept.....

Ha ha...Don't think so somehow Grachan. Will you be writing a book, the year that ended in 4? :D

Don't think so. Writing about getting turned over by Coventry in one year is more than enough thanks.

That is a bang out of form and missing star rider KL team. ;)

we were also racing with 1 reserve and minus a heat leader. Also turned over Lakeside and Belle vue easily away as well as Swindon at the start of the season as well.

Coventry only need max of 7 more points to make play offs (unless Swindon/Eastbourne drop points then its less) so no pressure on them.

However with Eastbourne able to Use Garrity & Newman for some of their away fixtures plus what looks like a home win sat, The pressure is really on Swindon. Should be a good meeting

the 15 year old singer/guitarist was excellent and was well received I thought given the normal apathy towards this type of thing. The sound system was excellent. Well done to her and whoever booked her.

She was excellent- Did anyone get her name? She a great folkie version of Teenage dirtbag!

I am aware of that - the difference is one team is on the crest of a wave form wise whilst the other is sinking nearer to the bottom form wise.

That also has a lot to do with it.

So the racing and entertainment is irrelevant to you, just the names involved?

The Wolves V Leicester meeting was more entertaining than pretty much any other meeting this season, but its not worth £17 you are saying?

So you'd prefer to pay £17 and be less entertained.

I understand. :)

There was a good football match on over the park this afternoon but no one was expected to pay 20 quid because the players were unknown amateurs. Before pontificating over what is value for money remind us again where you you watched the Wolves / Leiecster match, Edited by New Science
