Reliant Robin
I can only assume that this meeting is rearranged and Wolves didn't agree with it but have been forced so have sent the most piss taking team possible. That team would lose to every PL team. Wolves requested we switch to this Thursday as they couldn't track a team last Thursday! Oh dear
Panthers89
Has there ever been an official fixture at the Abbey before where the oppo have pitched up with 5 guests and R/R in their line-up?! Actually... its 6 guests isn't it? AS its Ashley Morris and Joe Jacobs as the reserves? So 6 guests and R/R? Wolves should be heavily fined. johnno4
Is that team for real or is somebody having a laugh ?
Adder
Wolves may as well have forfeited the fixture as a 75-15 to Swindon and saved the costs of paying guests. Swindon won't be making any money from the fixture either as people aren't going to be flocking to the Abbey to watch that dogs-dinner of a line-up. It's a nonsense.

Wolfsbane
Preview on the Swindon OS, still not a peep on ours. The attitude is obviously 'thank goodness this wasn't at home, with a bit of luck the furore will go away if we ignore it'. I'm beginning to get a sinking feeling about the future of the club, especially with them 2 in charge. So just to be clear. Woffinden injured, guest, check. Pawlicki tintacked, R/R, check. Bjerre riding for Peterborough, check. Jacobs riding for Workington, check. PK & Thorsell riding in Sweden, check. So are we truthfully saying this fixture change, which was announced on the OS on August 25th, was made in the full knowledge that Bjerre, Jacobs, PK & Thorsell would be missing due to pre arranged commitments which take priority under the various rules/arrangements and Woffinden would likely be absent as injured on the 23rd as per Adams interview comments at Eastboune?? If so, that shows a wilful & planned disregard for supporters of Wolves & Swindon. I won't say what I really think until I'm certain of all the facts and they deign to sheepishly slide a preview onto the OS. R87
I hadn't seen the "line-up" when I posted earlier. What an absolutely disgraceful team we are sending tomorrow. Surely the club have to release a statement to clarify the situation (are we riding their due to pressure from Swindon wanting to get the fixture in before the cut-off, did we agree to the date before it became obvious half of the riders wouldn't be anywhere near Swindon?). To just say nothing has been their mantra at times in the past, but this time they can't hide under the desk.

BWitcher
Stop moaning, should be a cracking meeting. Wolves on paper have a cracking team of battlers which will stir memories of yesteryear teams of the late 80's, early 90's where the riders were passionate to ride for the club. There's no doubt that the riders featuring for Wolves will be desperate to impress in the hope of gaining a more permanent team place in the seasons to come and I, for one, am despondent I am out of the country and unable to see their efforts. Hopefully it will be broadcast on Bet365 as I suspect it could be a classic.

I see you are unable to attend, however I am sure a commemorative dvd will be made of this auspicious occasion... And I am sure it will be more than reasonably priced.... Don't miss out, order one today... I have heard than a new helmet cover is being allowed for this spectacular, puse (in the interests of speedway of course) which when used can score the rider wearing it ten times the points... (It can only be used four times though as any more would be frankly silly wouldnt it?)... As Fergie may have said... 'British Speedway, Bloody Hell'...... thecoombdog
Shocking line up. Talk about handing the home team a easy 3 points. Its a very tough meeting for us against one of the better EL line ups ive seen this season. Just hope the boys display some team spirit when the going gets tough in front of the 5,000 plus crowd. If we manage to get the 3 points I hope the riders interact with the fans at the end. If any of them dont I hope they are sacked and replaced with riders who care and will reply to obsessive fans tweets.
