2015 Gp Wild Cards

Recommended Posts

SOON after the final GP in Torun

HAVE had a chat with Emil and tried my hardest but he (and his manager) still think he should decline an invitation and go through the 2015 rounds. Sad ... personally think he is a bigger loss than Ward.

TOO soon for Zmarzlik in my view. If not Hampel (and I think he will get the nod) would go for Piotr Pawlicki if it is another Pole.

Leaving aside the politics and the unfortunate financial matter, does not every speedway rider dream of becoming World Champion. You have to be in it to win it.

Money is more important than the world title, the world title doesn't pay the bills when your 50 or 60.

Emil is milking the SEC.

He gets paid more with exclusivity rights.

I admit I have no idea of the financial rewards for competing in 12 GP's, but I would have thought by scoring the points needed to become World Champion it would be financially viable. All credit to Emil for getting a great deal out of SEC, but it is a liitle perverse if he can earn more for 4 SEC rounds than he can for becoming World Champion after 12 GP's. When one sees the scramble for qualifying places and wildcards, and the store put on finishing the GP season in the top 8 his reluctance seems a little odd. Just my personal opinion mind and I accept I don't have all the facts.

Im sorry but if you are a World Class sportsman it's not about the money. You cannot put an amount on saying you are the World #1

And I'm pretty sure he would do ok out of competing in the GP's anyway. I'm 100% convinced it is politics and/or bad advice not $$$ that is keeping us from seeing Emil in the GPs.

As I understood it Emil dropped out of the GP's as he could not afford to compete following financial problems last year at his Polish club. Russia have never had a World Champion and the Russians do love to rule the world. I expect the Russian Speedway Federation is not exactly flush, but as Emil is their "great white hope" one would have thought they could have made it financially viable to the young man.

Two wildcards are pretty much guaranteed which is NKI and Hampel

A lot will depend on who gets in the top 8. If Batch or Holder fall out then Ward will get one. If no Swedes make the top 8 then it will be Jonsson or Jonasson that get a place.

My own opinion is NKI, Hampel , Kildemand, Jonsson

Ward needs a year out of it all in my opinion....................oh but hang on he puts bums on seats lol

As usual a smug smart ass comment ,f... your opinion! what a co.. you are.!! Edited by sidney

RUSSIAN federation provide no help for Emil or any of their riders for that matter. That's one reason why they have no competed in the SWC of late.

Disgraceful.

The Russian team competed in the WTC this season, in the qualifier in Terenzano

From memory I would say competed is a tad generous.

Smolinski isn't swedish though...

I think BSI will want definitely want Smolinski on board if they plan to stage a GP in Germany.Feel Darcy is now screwed now that Doyle has qualified. If 1 Swede makes the top 8 then the wildcards will

be Iversen,Hampel,Smolinski plus 1 Swede.

In a Perfect world Iversen,Emil,Ward and 1 of either MJJ or Kildermand.

SAYFUTDINOV and the Laguta brothers have refused to ride in the SWC because they have no support from the Russian federation.

Short-sighted or what?.

I'd have thought the best financial pay out in Speedway would be the year you are World Champion with increased exposure comes better sponsorship and a little more money in every race from every club you ride for.
